Is downloading SONGS through Limewire illegal?
Depends on if they are licensed or not.
You are not paying for them, so yes.
And a few days back, the first person to get music from it( I think it was music) was sued.
not all songs, but many songs are illegal on limewire.
It'd legal if there's a CC symbol next to it, which means it has a creative commons license. Otherwise, it's illegal.
Yeah, it's illegal. Plus, using LimeWire is a great way to get viruses.

Never stopped me before, though I don't use a program to download songs. I have various sources for those.
However, in Canada, the SUPREME COURT ruled otherwise ( there IS an article somwhere on it too )
I heard that DOWNLOADING them is NOT illegal, but
SHARING THEM IS.
Meaning, you can take songs from people, but if YOU let other people
Download from you, then thats illegal.
Either way...

I'll only pick up a whole series of anime, and never download anything for a few months.
Occasionly, I'll look for a program, I can actually name all the programs i've downloaded.
If your smart enough, you can get them the legal way and free.

Yeah, it is true. Basically you can download music legally, you just can't upload songs to others.
