I got it on Christmas and I already have 109 stars. :O
It took me YEARS to beat Mario 64, and I STILL haven't beaten Sunshine. :P
Sunshine was said to be the 2nd hardest Mario game just because those darn "The Secret of...." levels.
But I only have like 50. :-X
Sunshine was one of the hardest for me just because I was too lazy to find all of the blue coins. :-\
YIDS kicks all other mario games's asses in terms of difficulty though (getting 100%).
Yea, Sunshine was hard only because of hte blue coins and the fact that there were only like, three or less a level. Galaxy was so insanely easy. 100% compelted both quests within three weeks...
Only the purple coins on certain levels (coughLUIGIScough) were difficult. Everything else I beat on either my first or second life X_X;;
I got it in November and I have about 220 stars ^_^

I beat sunshine once...
But after that i lost interest and stopped playing it. I miss Mario 64 :(

Garbage was only hard b/c you didn't have much control on where he threw it, just sorta where but not how hard.
Still easiest mario game ever...
That's pretty slow. I beat it in 6 days.
i knew SMG would have been that way and thats another reason i dont want it, in fact i haven't seen a nintendo game that was really difficult at all, like LoZ:PH was the easiest one out there

I haven't played PH but i can say that twilight princess was the easiest one of them all.
I bet it's because Nintendo wants everything to be easier so more poeple would try it. I swear they're completely abandoning their fandbase if this keeps up. I mean, whats after Smash for us to look forward too? Nothing really....

I got galaxy on christmas to and i have 120 stars with mario.

It was pretty easy, beat it in a day 121 stars, took me around 2 more days for Luigi, (i dident play it straight just rounding my time) ;D

I didn't play it straight ether....and i got it finished just under a month :O
I got it the day it came out, beat it the Sunday that followed, and I went from 60 stars from there, and found all 60 remaining stars on Thanksgiving (IN ONE WHOLE DAY! I completed the galaxies I haven't even touched.). ;D
