Oh, each ruin needs a different item. In one, you'll need a Water Stone in your pack. In one, you'll need to use Flash. In one,you'll need to use an escape rope. In the last, you must have Ho-oh in your party. You can tell which you need by the name of the ruin.

I think there's a trainer that can give you one if you save him on your phone. I'm not sure which one, though.

The guy that gives you the water stone i belive is, the guy west of Mohogahny town. I think thats the town the one outside the Lake of Rage.

You have to go to the whirl Islands and enter through the Northwest Island, then work through the maze.
*my game died before i could get to the end of the maze...*
anyway, to get Ho-Oh, you have to go to the town withthe two towers *one burnt down* and get the people to let you in the non burnt tower. get to the top of that tower and try to catch the lvl 70 Ho-oh, who I caught in a pokeball.:D

That's the ONLY version you can get to the secret rooms in. In Gold and Silver, you can get the Unowns there, but that's all.
