Most definatly. At least Link was suited to the game, could fit, and was a videogame.
Vader is a movie character...one of hte most famous in fact (He's in the top 5 most recognizable movie characters from AVI's list I believe)

If you consider that bad, yes. I didn't find Link to be that much of an outcast as Spawn and Heihachi. But Star Wars characters are ridiculous.

Heihachi- understandable since he's owned by Namco, and is in a fighting game
