I haven't noticed much of a speed difference from FF, faster or slower (yes, that's taking Fasterfox into consideration). The only reasons I prefer using Opera are because it's less of a resource hog, because I like my Opera skin more than any skins on Firefox, and because I don't give a poop about add-ons.

They're really not tremendously different in speed. For me, the difference is unnoticeable.

Opera is a very poopty awesome poopty boring poopty and boring web browser created by Norwegians. It is now free, but no one on the internet noticed because they all pirated it anyway. Opera developers mission statement is to cram as much crap as possible into one program. Legacy Computers beware.

Opera intercourse ing sucks. It doesn't help that it's being run on a Mac.

Using Opera is not suggested unless you are either gay, retarded, Norwegian or all of the above. This is probably not an issue since nobody actually uses Opera, making it the only browser less popular than links.
