Poetry extravaganza.

[Night the Lucario]

Alright, I know I said I wanted to get some poems out, but... well, I've finished one, I'm working on what will probably turn into a four-page epic poem, and I can use this to experiment. I suppose. Anyway, the one I've made is a villanelle poem, a poem comprised of five tercets(stanzas with three lines), and one ending quatrain(a stanza with four lines). Read it, and tell me what you think, please.

Crashing waves, a villanelle.

Waves crash upon my shell
A storm is brewing, I see.
The emotional tides are whipping up.

On my ground I'll stand firm; I won't be
Hurt by the emotions of others again,
While waves crash upon my shell.

Everyone around me is angry;
They're frightened, too. It's feeding
The emotional tides that are whipping up.

Nobody will touch me while my shell stands firm.
I've cut myself off from the rest of Mankind.
Since the waves crash upon my shell.

I know, somehow, that this could be my end.
That something will break through my shell
With the emotional tides being whipped up.

I was right, and now in love.
Though I'll always stand firm
So long as waves crash upon my shell
Caused by the emotional tides that are being whipped up.

I brought home one of my poems that I did for English... most of the people in my class seemed to like it, though I don't.

Spring, My Favorite Season. Alt title: Flowers Bloom.

Within my favorite season
Truly clear is the reason
Spring is my favorite season
As the flowers bloom.

Brightly blooming butterfly bushes
Grow with my great rushes
Everything now lush is
When my flowers bloom.

Listen - can you hear it?
That buzzing, do not fear it.
Unless you by the bees bit
Wish - when my flowers bloom.

Smell the pollen in the air,
That would be my roses fair -
Look! there's pollen in your hair!
Since my flowers bloom.

Here, a sprig of thyme.
Chew on it, we have time.
For not even the Sands of Time
Take from me my blooms.

I even grow fresh mint
The likes of which have not been writ,
Mayhap I'll make Chocolate with Mint.
As my flowers bloom.

Try a cherry from my tree,
Or an apple, it's all the same to me.
Just do not touch my honey tree,
When my flowers bloom!

Within my favorite season -
What? You do not see the reason,
That Spring is my favorite season?
Because my flowers bloom!

Poem topic for everyone? Woo. Anyways, for yours, I really enjoy your first one. Your second one is a bit...eh, mainly the first part from "Within my favorite season" to "As the flowers bloom" It just doesn't quite fit then again I'm use to poetry that rhyme of the few I read.

Ah well, can't wait to see more from you. it's sad to see how under appreciated some work in the arts goes *looks at sig topic* ;-;
