Title: New Pokemon species?
Post by: Neerb on April 16, 2009, 07:31:30 PM
What animal/plant/mineral/other do you want to see made into a Pokemon?

I would like non-legendary versions of:
Platypus
Tyrannosaurus Rex (why the heck is this not already a pokemon?)
Velociraptor ( *same as t-rex* )
Lion (Luxray's not NEARLY "liony" enough)
Tiger
Jaguar
Cheetah
Wolf (Mightyena= Mighty HYENA, not wolf)

Raikou could be a sabre-tooth tiger.

Porcupine
a pokémon that looks like a Mummy
a wheel
another man-made pokémon
cheetah
a rare but non-legendary pokémon that has many different appearances like a diamond, pearl, crystal, ruby, sapphire, and emerald (notice something there?)
a firefly (fire-bug, I know firefly pokémon exist)
a dragonfly (dragon-bug, same statement as before)
a pokémon that is literally an island but could be captured
more pokémon who look like something, but aren't that at all (like Sudowoodo)
I may post more ideas later.

Looks like a T-Rex to me.

I think Persian looks like some kind of big cat, but I'm not sure what. A panther, maybe?

Like Castform, but using something other than weather?
Quotea pokémon that is literally an island but could be captured
...what? The first thing that comes to mind for me is something like the turtle in Melee's Great Bay stage. Or a floating chunk of 'land', but that would be like many other existing rock types.

Um, I can't think of much not already listed. Maybe a squirrel or hummingbird? D:
Or something made up of a crystal or glass? (the most crystal in any pokemon so far is... Sableye's eyes, I think)

1. Sure, something like that.
2. Yes, like rock types except it's different.
3. Pachirisu is a squirrel, and a humming bird is a good idea.

Psyduck is supposed to be a platypus since it has small (very small) claws.

PsyDUCK is not supposed to be a platypus.  Platypus have fur, beaver-like tails, poison, and several other key features that Psyduck does not have.  The fact that they gave Psyduck fingers on the edge of its wings does not change the fact that it is in nearly every other way a DUCK.

Though kinda pointless, after getting ever UNOWN, I think there should also be number UNOWN, either that or Pokémon similar to UNOWN that take the shape of numbers. But then again, maybe not.
