Title: Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan
Post by: Custom on March 05, 2013, 09:18:35 PM
Any of you dudes heard of this? I just bought it, first purchase in a long time. I think it's my first physical purchase since Persona 4 Arena.
I'm super psyched to get into it. I'm listening to the soundtrack right now and it's absolutely beautiful. I'm a huge sucker for super long rpgs that I can play on a handheld. Final Fantasy III and IV were my DS' bread and butter for the longest time.

Any of you pick it up or have interest in it?

I love of my save data from the demo carried over into the full game.

Yeah that's totally rad! Haha. Really cool games have options like that nowadays.

I'm interested. Problem is is that I can't really justify getting it. Just got Fire Emblem: Awakening and I still haven't finished Ni no Kuni

Bah, I still need to finish both of those too. Too many games this past month plus more on the way.

Yeah. After this though I don't know what else there is to look forward to.

The Dragon Quest VII 3DS remake looks awesome though

I love what they did with the battle theme. It's the second theme that plays in the video. Sounds way better than the original.

I'm a few hours in. This is my favorite 3ds title so far, it's really exceptional. Drawing out your own maps is a ton of fun and I love exploring. The bosses have been brutal as FUCK

I saw this game at the store and didn't really know what it was. Would you say it's a must have?

if you're into jrpgs/dungeon crawlers (persona games, dragon quest viii, early final fantasy games (1-3))

yes, especially if you've just been sitting on your 3ds waiting for more releases

if you're feeling burnt on jrpgs, nah, but it's still gonna be fun and last a long time between releases.
i see it as something i can come back to for a long time
especially because you can have like 30 people per party so i'll probably replay it with different teams and poop

Just got my ass handed to me by a FOE. Cornered me and couldn't escape. At least my map data was saved.
