how would one go about removing the security software on a portable HD so that I could just drag and drop my files?  I am not worried about losing the stuff I already have on it and I don't care if it's not super-secure because I'm not taking it many places.  I just want to store things on it, and this software makes it so annoying that I don't use it at all.  It's a Western Digital, btw.

Gimme link to a page showing the product.

If you can manage reformatting the drive, that should work.

Usually, just formatting it completely will work, and don't install any software that comes with it.
