very sticky tape is annoying

argh...I was making a big Daft Punk-themed bottle rocket today (it's freaking awesome) and I was using two different kinds of extremely sticky tape.  It was working ok until it started to get stuck...soon I was literally yelling at the tape and going crazy every time it folded over itself.  The 4-foot-long posterboard/plastic bottle rocket is complete, though, and that's all that matters.

So anybody else want to share their frustrations with sticky tape?

Did you try using gaff tape? I was introduced to that stuff last weekend. It OWNZ.
