It's called "pansification" derived from the word "pansy." How did I hear it? Well, a Canadian NHL announcer said that that was what's happening in the NFL when its commish reduced fighting. But that's not the funny part. The funny part is that some gay group is actually offended. So kids, the lesson isn't that that word is bad, it's for your vocabulary's because you learned an awesome new word.

NFL is already fairly violent (just ask Willis on the Ravens) and I think that if the league gets branded for being pansy-ish because they try and protect their players than some sports announcers need a physch evaluation.

huh? fighting in the NHL is actually very safe. it's better than not letting them get it out and having them trip each other headfirst into boards or have crosschecks to the back, or slashes.
