What happened? Why'd we stop liking Smash? And how did we EVER get that many members to post?

But why'd it stop? We went to 2010, apparently. I think we need to get back into Brawl; there's only like 12 of us left, anyway.

Ooh, I agree. I'm probably the only one who's willing to record anything like that if I'M involved in a match.

No one plays Brawl anymore. As far as video games go, it's old and obsolete.

pretty much this
if you actually want a decent friends match, you have to try to get the perfect settings for your wireless setup, and most people don't do that.
doesn't help that my wii is in a basement while the router is on the second floor.

The exact thing is true for me, I get little to no Wi-Fi signal with it. It's mildly upsetting.

Xbox Live has been more than fine since its inception. 2003-2004ish?

Nintendo is STILL lagging behind.

Not necessarily; it's a purely objective statement. I myself love the Wii; it's my favorite console that I still own and I've played tons of great games on it contrary to what haters may say about it having "no games." But the online system, from a completely unbiased opinion, is awful, and Smash Bros has an exceptionally awful one seeing as how Mario Kart and Goldeneye can run almost flawlessly in comparison.

Of course, I still want people to try it anyway... like some sort of masochist fanboyism.

Pretty much this. I mainly stick to the older games without online and stuff, and I'm perfectly fine with that. To me, Nintendo makes up for the lack of online with the classic nostalgia appeal of their games.
