Are you putting it on Speed Demos Archive (or whatever it's called)? Either way, congrats.

I managed to get myself forever stuck in the water temple, while using the guide, so that about sums up my mastery of the game. :|
The Water Temple isn't even that hard. The changing water levels and different tunnels can sometimes be difficult, but it gets easier the more you go through it and explore. I can finish it pretty quick now.
I beat it in 21 minutes.

Wow, quick.

The only real time I had trouble there was I forgot to pick up the Small Key behind the waterfall, whoops :P

sorry mate, better do your research better next time.

and btw, the record that you were referring to was broken some amount of years ago... the holder was actually one of the old KOHs.  forget what his name was though.  he retired from speedrunning when TP came out.

Edit:  TSA was the guy.

You should read my posts more, this is a non glitch speed run.

Head to TwinGalaxies.com

you don't even need verification.  you just have to say that you got time "x" on "game x" and they post it as fact.

go to the Metroid Prime page on TG.  they don't even take fastest time into account.  the WR time for Metroid prime is 1:03.  their fastest, or "best score" is 100% in some ridiculously higher amount of time.  no separate categories.

even said, your time doesn't beat the natural route time on SDA, which is really the only reputable speedrun site.

twingalaxies is a joke.

and by the way,

Michael B Damiami?  the guy who's record is incredibly ancient and outdated?

he's TSA.

member of SDA

he also did the game without glitches (iirc, because at the time he made the run, the only real glitches required OoB which SDA did not allow at the time), and as a single segment.

meaning without breaks.

5 straight hours.

thats why TSA was a legend.

Twingalaxies is not a joke.

You have to film yourself playing or do it in front of a referee to verify your time and play through.

You are incredibly dull, not to bright eh.

Try to look into things before posting pointless things.

thats never how it used to work.  they used to have a time of 0:59 posted for Metroid Prime, verified by "referee", not by actual video content.  it would probably still be there if they didn't go by score and went by time instead.

time doesn't matter to TG.  a speedrun is all about time.  all that matters to TG is "score".

you haven't beaten any real record, man.  speeddemosarchive is reputable, and is a SPEEDRUN site, not a scoreboard, which is what TG is (also being a complete joke of a site for anything speedrun related).  simply stating that TG isn't a joke doesn't make it true.

and lol, plaques :\

go look it up on speeddemosarchive.  you haven't beaten anything.

your run probably wont even make it on to TG unless it outscores TSA's as well.

a faster time means nothing to TG, and TSA's record is ancient.  it's been beaten multiple times, over and over, as new discoveries have been made.

a world record speed run doesn't come nearly that easily.  it takes months of preparation and planning, and being up to date with what's going on.

TSA's run is single segment as well.

"glitchless" runs are dumb anyways.  who wants to sit through someone going through all the darn temples when you can watch one that hardly visits any of them?

it's a speedrun.  you have to be fast.

go look it up on SDA instead of trying to argue with me.  stop being scared, and go look at the time on SDA that clearly beats yours.

i've been in this far longer than you.

go try again.

Well, all of this cat fighting aside... I FIGURED OUT HOW TO GET THE MIRROR! YAYZ!

Now, appreciate my awesomeness. >:(

Also, Jono, you seem to know a lot about the topic, would it be possible for you to find the current world record of a OoT speedrun with the conditions of his speedrun? Cause that might clear up a few things.

oh, in the spirit temple? :P

it's right on that page that I linked to earlier, stating the no rules speed record on.  it's on the same page if you scroll down like, an inch.
