Game playing problem...

Ok, so yesterday, me and my brother got PSPs for X-Mas! Woo! But today, all of a sudden for no apparent reason, his wont read the discs, not even my FF Tactics, which DOES work on mine! And if he has a game inserted when he turns it on, it goes to the background color or something, and then freezes and wont show the menu or anything until he takes the game out. Does anyone know what might be wrong? He hasnt dropped it or spilled anything on it or anything of the sort...

start it up without the game.....go to Game on the XMB (menu) the insert the UMD (disc)
