A future announcement

Wasn't there an update where Sakurai said he would post a future announcement on the dojo.  I tried finding the update but I'm not sure where it is.  Anybody have a clue or say it doesn't exist.

Technically, he already did one "future" update. He updated the site with more pictures when Brawl was released in Europe and Austraila. As someone else said, the site will probably be updated again when he's ready to announce a new Smash Bros.

i don't think sakurai wants to make another smash. if it happens, it will be made by only nintendo, which worries me. would they actually put the great graphics in, or they might screw with the gameplay. the only positive thing they'd be likely to do is improve the online play.

Yeah, Sakurai went from "I probably won't be part of the next Smash Bros game" in 2006 to "I probably won't be director of the next game but I'll still play in a role in it" in 2007 to "If Iwata asked me several years down the road to make another Smash Bros, I'd probably do it" in 2008. :D He's also mentioned a lot in recent interviews that he already has a lot of ideas that he'd like to do for another installment when the time comes.

He shouldn't promise things that he couldn't do.  It was no where close to be as annoying as the constant delays.

He said 1-2 more Third Party characters after Snake, so technically he didn't lie about that.

He also said no clones.

I wonder if he knew what clones meant or he just got lazy.  He could of fixed Ganondorf atleast.
