It's been a long time, but figured I'd check back in.
A lot has changed over the last few years, kind of crazy to think about. I'm still a pretty big Nintendo fan, though. Now that I work full time, I can actually afford more games, but of course I have less time to play them...
Currently working through Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, with Majora's Mask 3D on deck. I've also been playing a bit of Splatoon, but I'm really waiting for Yoshi's Woolly World on the Wii U front.
How's it going? :)
ps: wow, these emoticons bring back memories, haha!
Oh hey, I remember you. Well, I recognize your name anyway. I actually took your name and used it for one of my characters in World of Warcraft a long long time ago lol. It's crazy to me how long Nsider has been closed now, nearly 8 years now but it feel like it's only been about 2 years.
hi! i don't remember you but i hope you stick around!
Hey! I remember you! Did you find this place after I messaged you on Reddit? :P

And it was
so intercourse ing stupid! It was all so sudden and there was no reason for it. Why the intercourse would they take away such a popular forum?
Lithium forums aren't cheap. NOA had to pay Lithium not only for the forum software, but:
- A recurring fee for the couple of dedicated employees like Li-Mark who oversaw forum administration
- The various NOA employees who helped to moderate and administrate (many lost their jobs entirely, others were reshuffled into different departments after NS closed)
2010-11 was when the initial gimmick appeal of the Wii began to falter, and NOA was looking for some easy ways to save cash.
Say what you will about Andy, but he supposedly went to bat for us to keep the forums open. Management ignored him, however.

I naively looked into Lithium when making this place, and my butthole puckered at the base price.

Haha so I did a demo of WoW one time with a friend a couple years back, and was surprised that my first SN choice was taken. This explains it :D

Yup - I had been here a long time ago, but had forgotten about it for quite a while! I think the original Nsider was still open the last time I had posted here, before this thread.

Crazy how we've been open for 7 years now. SEVEN YEARS. Or is it 8?

Our 8th anniversary is in like three weeks.

So it was because Nintendo is a bunch of greedy asswads. I used to think highly of them, but that makes me reconsider.
