Original Story:
Darkrai's Plot
It has been several years since the valiant Pokemon rescuer and his partner saved the world from the comet. But now, a new threat is emerging. Darkrai, a master of evil, is plotting the doom of all the Pokemon world.
No one really knows what he wants, or how he will set about achieving it. Darkrai is working in the shadows, unbeknownst to the innocent Pokemon. You take the role of Pokemon rescuers. Save Pokemon, stop disaster, fulfill your role, but all the while, Darkrai's plot edges closer.
The brave Pokemon who stopped the comet before have long since vanished. He has been revered since then. He is now as famous as Lucario. No one knows what has become of him and his faithful partner. Search parties were sent to find them, but it would seem that they do not wish to be found.
It's time to choose a side. Will you choose to rescue Pokemon and stop Darkrai, or perhaps ally yourself with him. Or perhaps you are one of those brave souls who went searching for the comet-stopping hero.

Lucas finally woke up after sleeping for no less than 10 hours. He sleepily walked of his house and into Pokemon Square.
((Well, I didn't want to use the same character again! Otherwise, I'd get bored! Plus, I wanted an excuse to use Cubone for something. And also, why did the old one die in the first place? ????))
David woke up groggily. He'd gone to bed at 1:00 AM. He had no idea what time it was, and honestly didn't care. He went over to a cabinet against the wall of the room. Opening it, he found some money. He took it all. He'd have to go exploring later to get more. But in the mean time, he needed food. He exited his house and walked off to Pokémon Square to visit the Keckleon Shop.

Lucas walked over to the Kecleon Shop to buy supplies for his training when he noticed David standing there.
((I blame CJS. Mostly because my inactivity was (kinda) justified. I'm just not sure how.))
David turned and noticed a Riolu nearby. He ignored him for now, opting to buy food and some exploration supplies from the Kecleons.
((I see. The other one died because... I don't remember. People stopped posting, JNFS made it confusing with creating some "Underground" thing none of us had heard of, etc.
EDIT: Ah, yes; CJS. Let's not forget Wolfpika, either.))
"Thunderpunch!" A shock of lightning erupted from the male Pikachu's hand, exploding in a bright flash upon contact with a rotting tree. The tree burst into flames, and disinegrated within minutes. He panted heavily, wiping the sweat from his forehead. I need to become stronger... and I believe I am succeeding. He and his sister, Kristal, had been living in the town for quite a while. Though, they did not exactly live IN the town; they were farther away, perched on the outskirts of the city. It was a quiet, homely piece of land; they both liked living there very much. Kyle had always been protective of his younger sister; he meant the world to her.
Kyle sighed. I should go back now; Kristal will most likely be getting up soon. He began to walk in the direction to his home, away from the forest he was training in, at a leisurely pace, enjoying the early morning, and the view of the sun just beginning to break over the evergreen trees.
Lucas sighed, apparently glad that the Cubone was gone. 3 minutes and 3000 Pokè later, Lucas left Pokemon Square for the Training Dojo.
David was bored. That wasn't exactly uncommon, and he would've done something about it, except that he was at the moment being very lazy. He decided to just go to the Makuhita Dojo and do something there, since he really couldn't think of anything better to do.
Lucas arrived at the Dojo. He was about to go in when he saw David, again.
Kristal awakened at the sound of a door clanking shut. "I'm home," the voice of her older brother called. She stretched her arms and yawned, sitting up in her bed. Her older brother grabbed a couple of apples from the next room and tossed one to her. She stood up, apple in hand.
"I'm going to go into the city today, have a look around," Kristal said, beginning to walk towards the front door. Kyle nodded, taking a bite from his apple.
"Alright, just be careful," he replied. Kristal smiled, a slight chuckle escaping from her lips.
"Like always."

David passed the Riolu he'd noticed earlier and entered the Dojo. He hadn't even noticed that he'd been following Lucas. He had just gone to the Store and Dojo conveniently at the same time.
((*twitches*))
Lucas sighed and went in.
((You're paranoid. You should call the mental health hotline. I did. Though I admit they were kinda creepy. "Press 8 if you're paranoid, then stand there for a while, while we trace your call and figure out your identity and address."))
David went through the electricity maze at the Dojo with relative ease, as all the Pokémon there used electric attacks.
Kristal stood in the middle of Pokemon Square. Business was booming as Pokemon moved around, buying, selling, and conversing. She breathed deeply. She hadn't been in the town for awhile, so the sights and sounds were slightly overwhelming. She sighed and decided to walk over ((OMGNOWAI)) to the Dojo.

Lucas meanwhile trained in the Psychic Maze. He, being a Fighting type, had somewhat a challenge. However, his toughest opponent was a mere Mr.Mime, which he KO'ed with ease.

Exiting the Electric Maze, David proceeded to the fire maze. He was being lazy, so he was only picking mazes he could complete easily. He finished that one fairly quickly as well.
Lucas then chose the Ghost Maze. He decided to, instead of fighting a Boss Pokemon, he would fight David. He hurried along, finishing his maze. Lucas then proceded to stalk David at his next maze.
David went into the next maze, deciding on the flying maze, just to liven things up a bit, unaware that Lucas was following him.
Kristal walked into the Flying Maze. She decided to test her Thunderpunch against types that were stronger than her, but were weak against her attacks. She saw another Pokemon in the maze that was apparently trying to get through it, but behind him was another Pokemon, apparently stalking him.
Lucas continued to stalk David, killing enemies here and there.
Finally, when they got to the final floor, Lucas uttered,"Wanna battle?"
David turned, somewhat surprised by the sudden challenge. He recognized him as the Riolu from the store.
"Fine," he replied.
"Make your move."
David's eyes narrowed.
"If you insist," he said. With that, he charged, swinging his bone in a Bone Rush attack.
Lucas effortlessly evaded with an Extremespeed, making his way to the other side of the stage.
Damn, said David to himself. He warily assumed a defensive position, feeling that it would be unwise to press a direct assault that could be easily dodged.
Lucas grinned, also in a defensive stance.
((Well, this'll go nowhere fast if all both sides do is defend. <_<))
David narrowed his eyes, looking around for something to give him an advantage, while simultaneously trying to keep an eye on his opponent.
Lucas sensed that David was looking around, and assaulted him with an Extremespeed.
David barely saw the attack coming and tried to dodge, but it was too fast, hitting him directly. Now that his opponent was closer, however, he tried to counter with Bone Club.
Lucas quickly tried to pull back, but not before the Bone Club attack had hit him.
Yes! thought David. He followed up the first attack with another Bone Club.
((I can't remember. Is Riolu half-steel? Or is that only Lucario?))

Lucas laughed, easily dodging.
"Damn," muttered David under his breath. He entered a defensive stance once more, focusing on his attacker this time.
Lucas fired a stream of Aura Spheres at David, knowing that Cubone's cannot dodge well.
"ACK!" yelped David as the Aura Spheres came at him. He dodged the first one, but was hit by another. He got up quickly. Receiving some sudden inspiration, he used his Bone Club to smash the spheres, stopping most of the attacks and dodging the remainder.
Lucas smirked. "You just won't go down, will you?"
"Nope!" replied David with a smirk. "But neither will you."
"I'll keep that in mind."
"Great," said David cheerfully. He immediately rushed forward with a Bone Rush attack.
Lucas held his ground, intently waiting.
David had another sudden idea, and brought his bone done as if to smash his foes head, but suddenly stopped it just before making contact. Then he swung it back and sent a Bone Club aimed for Lucas's side.
Lucas released an Aura Sphere in David's face when he stopped, and was thrown off guard by the Bone Club.
The Aura Sphere made a direct hit, knocking him back. He managed to get back up and assumed a defensive stance again.
Lucas, weak from the blow, struggled, but finally got up.
"Why are you doing cheap shots!?"
"Hey, if it helps you win, I say go with it," replied David with a shrug.
Lucas shook his head.
"Whatever."
David smirked, but did not attack just yet. He opted to wait for the opponent to strike.
Lucas emitted a single Aura Sphere.
David smashed the sphere out of existence with his bone, then charged once more with Bone Rush. Before making contact he switched the attack once more, hurling a Bonemerang at Lucas from several feet away.
Lucas noticed there was a lot of wind blowing. He quickly jumped up into the air and began gliding. "How do you like me now?"
((That laws of physics weep. <_<))
David raised an eyebrow at the floating Riolu. He immediately threw his bone at him using Bonemerang.
Lucas fired an Aura Sphere, breaking the Bonemerang, and fired several Aura Spheres.
"Well, this is gonna suck," remarked David as the Aura Spheres came raining down around him. He tried his best to dodge, but was hit by quite a few of them. He ended up on his back, consciousness fading.
Lucas saw his chance. He whooshed down and Fire Punch'd David in the face.
The Fire Punch landed a direct hit, knocking David unconscious almost immediately.
"Finished," Lucas replied.
David groggily got up after a brief period of unconsciousness.
"Finally," he said.
"I can't believe you dodged all those Aura Spheres," Lucas replied.
"Yep," said David, still a little sore. "I can't either, trust me."
"Here," Lucas replied, throwing an Oran Berry to David.
"Thanks," said David, catching and eating the berry. Already, he could feel the energy returning to him thanks to the berry's restorative power.
"So," Lucas continued, eating one himself,"what do you wanna do?"
"I don't know," said David sheepishly. "I just came here out of sheer boredom."
"How about we go to the Exploration Guild?" Lucas replied.
"I'm good with that," replied David with a grin.
Lucas then walked with David to the Exploration Guild. The Guild itself was a bit old, but the additions looked brand new.
Out of the corner of his eye, Lucas spotted his friend Jason, who was casually talking to the Guild Leader, Wigglytuff.
"Hey, when did they make all these additions?" asked David.
"About a week ago," Lucas said," because of all of the money the Guild was making."
"I see," replied David. "So... Now what?"
"Hm. I think we should check if there are any jobs to be done," Lucas replied,"and then we sho-"
"Hello, Lucas," Jason said, coming almost out of nowhere,"Who's your new friend?"
"I'm David," replied David. "You're friend thought I was stalking him or something and decided to battle me."
"That's just normal," Jason replied,"Lucas hates it when people follow him. This one time we were at school, and th-"
"Shut the crap up!" Lucas demanded,"I'm sure he doesn't wanna hear it."
"No, keep going!" said David with an evil smile. "It could make excellent blackmail material."
Lucas covered his ears in thought of the story.
"A few years ago, when we were at training school, we had to take a test which required us being chased. This certain test used a Gengar. Well, it was Lucas's turn, and, since he hated Ghost Pokemon, he cowered in fear as he ran. While he did that he yelled out, 'Sttop chhassiinggg mmeee.' Eventually Lucas hit a rock, and fell down, cowering with fear, much like he is now."
David snickered, particularly at Lucas's embarrassment.
"I was right. Now I get lots of blackmail."
Lucas sighed, red with embarrassment. "Can we move on!?"
Jason, still laughing nodded.
"I heard that Landslide Cave has a treasure room, which, all though many have tried, no one has been in it."
"Hey, I need money," said David. "Can I come?"
"Sure," Jason replied,"the more, the merrier. By the way, how much money do you two have?"
"4000 Poké," Lucas muttered.
"At this point, not even 500 Poke," replied David with a frown.
"With my money thrown in, we have 6500 Poké, barely enough to get a Starter Pack from the shop," Jason figured.
"Hey, I barely bought some supplies this morning. Just no much. I couldn't afford that much with only 1000 Poké."
Kristal came in on the conversation, who had been listening from afar. The boys seemed around her age, so she tried to see if she could enter. "So, what exactly are you guys up to?"
"Ah, just discussing a mission," Jason replied,"and what items we'll need to bring."
"So, do we have enough for at least the Starter Kit?" asked David
"We do," Jason replied,"by the way, it includes:
4 Reviver Seeds
5 Oran Berries
and 1 TM."
"What's the TM?" asked David, somewhat interested.
"Probably a TM that sucks," Lucas finally uttered,"but it's still worth it."
"Thank you for your never ending optimism, Lucas," remarked David sarcastically. "Your inspirational words work wonders for our outlooks."
"I know," Lucas replied, barely grinning,"I know."

"So are we going or not?" David asked, ready to get back on topic.
((Whatever))
"Sure," Jason replied,"let's go."
"Great," remarked David, walking towards the exit of the guild.
When the characters got there, however, Kecleon was no where to be seen.
"I wonder where he is," Lucas thought out loud.
"Maybe they're on break?" said David doubtfully. He had never seen the Kecleon leave his post.
"I don't think so," Jason replied.
"Yeah, probably not," David conceded. "Maybe someone else saw them?"
"Maybe," Lucas replied with sarcasm,"or he could've just disappeared."
"I'm guessing he disappeared. Not our problem," said David.
Kristal, who had been following them still, curious of their motives, decided to pipe up. "So, what kind of mission are you setting out for?"
"Just a mission looking for treasure," Jason replied, smiling. "The name's Jason."
"I'm Kristal," the Treecko replied, offering her hand for him to shake. "So, you guys are an exploration team, huh?"
"Partially," Lucas replied,"although I would rather rescue. By the way, Lucas."
"Nice to meet you," Kristal said, smiling. "So, why do you have a preference of rescuing over exploring?"
Lucas sighed. "Because my father was a world class rescuer, and I guess, if I become really good at it, I'll see him again."
"So, your father was the legendary Lucario?" Kristal speculated, looking closely at Lucas's face and build. "I do see a resemblance there..."
Lucas chuckled. "I'm glad that YOU see a resemblance."
"Anyways," Jason cut in," on with the mission."
"Why the hurry?" asked David with a raised eyebrow.
"Mind if I join in?" Kristal asked. A voice in the back of her head reminded her that Kyle said not to get any trouble, but she ignored it. "I've always wanted to go exploring."
"I'm good with it if they are," said David, gesturing towards the other two.
"Sure," Jason replied. "Now Landslide Cave has 13 floors, but, nevertheless, it will be easy."
"Oh, I almost forgot, what's your name?" Kristal asked, turning to the Cubone who just spoke.
"I'm David," replied said Cubone. He turned to Jason. "And what makes you so sure that Landslide Cave will be so easy?"
"Because it's filled with low-level Pokémon," Jason said.
"Thanks for letting me tag along, by the way," Kristal noted. "I don't see a problem with 13 floors. Lucas?"
"Yes?" he replied.
"Do you think that this mission will be challenging?" Kristal asked, indicating her saying of his name was supposed to trigger a response to answer that question.
((LS, I might do what I said when the original closed down))
"Maybe," Lucas replied,"one will never know until in the midst of battle."
"How hard can it be?" wondered David out loud, leaving in the direction of the target dungeon.
Lucas, Jason, David, and Kristal all made there way to the entrance of Landslide Cave.
"Finally," remarked David as they came to the cave's entrance. "Everyone ready?"
"Hmmm..." Lucas replied,"there are....two paths!?"
"So..." started David. "Which path do we take? Or do we take a riskier method and split up?"
"I say we split up and search for clues, so we can cover more ground."
"Yeah, that makes sense," said David. "After all, this dungeon has primarily weak Pokémon from what I've heard. So who goes in which group?"
"I don't know," replied Lucas,"what do you think?"
((just don't have Lucas and Jason in the same group.))
"I don't know. How about you and Kristal in one group, and me and Jason in the other?"
((You just had to do that, didn't you?))
"Fine," Lucas replied.
Jason also nodded as the groups split up and went in their seperate directions.
((Yes. Yes, I did.))
David followed Jason down one path.

Lucas nodded. "Well, Kristal, it shouldn't take long to finish this dungeon.

Jason showed off his moves, particularly his signature Flamethrower attack, to David.
"Nice," commented David. "Whatever happened to that TM in the Starter Kit. I could use a good new move."
"Oh," Jason replied,"don't you remember. We couldn't buy it because the Kecleon was missing."
((Short term memory loss is a ninny.))
"Oh, yeah," said David. "Forgot about that. Damn."

The two easily went through all 13 floors, but they didn't see Lucas or Kristal anywhere.
"You'd think they'd be here by now," commented David. "Maybe they're making out in a corner on the first floor."
((Perv))
"Maybe," Jason commented, smiling evilly (sp),"you can never tell with Lucas."
((At least I only said they were making out.))
"I think some rather disturbing images have been forever engrained in my mind by this conversation," said David with a grin.
((The thing that Lucas can never be told.))
"Me too." Jason replied. "Me too."
"I should think not," Kristal responded, being wary of what could jump out at them. "Say, do you know what type Pokemon live in this cave?"
"Mostly Rock, Electric, and Poison," was his reply, beating down a Venemoth with Fire Funch.
Not my speciality... Kristal thought, constantly being aware of her surroundings. She took advantage of her Razor Leaf ability and made a circle of levitating leaves around her, so that she could fire them at any time.
Lucas had no problem with any of the entire dungeon. However, he had that feeling. The feeling of being watched surrounded him. He chose to ignore it, seeing it as a mere distraction.
Kristal followed Lucas as they finished the dungeon. She, too, had a mysterious feeling, and decided to keep having the leaves circle her. "Where are Jason and David?"
"I....don't know," Jason replied, still haunted. "Maybe if we go to the exit?"
