Jas stands there. Her grip on her weapons tightens.

"Zarani, if you don't get off this boat you are going to die," Solon warned him. "Doesn't matter who you take down with you, you'll be gone as well. Then none of this will be worth it anymore."

"WHAT!?" Jas growls, all trust for Solon just about gone.

"I didn't say kill you," Solon pointed out, trying to calm Jas down. "I said it would be pointless for him to kill you because he'll just die along with you and then none of this will be worth it. His only chance of surviving if he just leaves this boat." He turned back over to Zarani. "I'll come with you, but you've taken too long to make a decision. So, now you don't get the boat or the Scale Gem. Only me, which I am good for two things. Dead Men magnet, which you'll need, or getting one of the gems, which only I can touch. Either that, or face death." Hm... That seems like a much better revised plan, Solon decided to himself. That way, the others can continue looking for the other gems and still have the Scale Gem with them. Then if I die, they'll be able to take the Crescent Gem. Just got to make sure I don't die too early... Or not at all would also be good.

Solon was smirking, thinking about his plan. I guess I owe Jas some credit with that whole gas idea, but I think we've just about won the impossible. As long as they aren't idiots and don't find the gems before Zarani and I do.

Jas starts to lower her blades slightly while keeping herself in a defensive stance, only because she knows there's no point in fighting unless she needs to.
