vitamin question

i was giving one of my pokemon some calcium. i gave it 3 bottles, i checked and the sp.atk only went up by one! can someone help explain how these work? ???

it increases EVs, not stat points. you'll see the difference as it levels up. its sp.atk may grow up by 4 instead of 3 for a few levels. what pokemon is it?

so its special attack usually would go up by 1, 2, or 3.
