Dr. Slump subs: Why don't they exist?

For years now, I have been trying to find English subs of an old show done by Akira Toryama: Dr. Slump. However, I don't think they exist, which is odd, considering the popularity and age of the show.

Does anybody have ANY way I can watch all of the episodes with English Subs? Do the DVD's have an English subtitles option? Is there a torrent anywhere?

So far, none of them are subbed except the first episode.

Truth is: The manga is more popular.

Pretty sure I've seen subs of it somewhere though. If I find them I'll be sure to let you know.
