Halo 3 takes the cake.
And yet, it was the biggest entertainment launch in history.

and that is why it is over-rated.

t's a pretty normal FPS....
nothing really special...

CoD4 is much better

Not quite, since Halo: CE was revolutionary at the time, now using vehicles in FPS has become standard.

OoT anyone?

Or did we stop caring about that.
OoT was better than Majora's Mask, IMO.

I was too young to understand over-ratedness...
That's not right.

OOT was overrated.

MM was better, it was deeper, and had more of a challenge than OOT.

Halo 3 or Team Fortress 2.
TF2 deserves most of the praise it gets...

Besides Halo, I'd say the NiGHTS games.  I bought Journey for Dreams for the Wii expecting something amazing, and sure, the art and music were great, but other than that I was sorely disappointed.  I sold it to help pay for Brawl and don't regret it a bit (unlike my other games that I stupidly traded in).

The first NiGHTS was better.

halo or the orange box
Have you PLAYED the Orange Box?

since when does overrated mean somethings bad?
well, the word is usually used when somebody thinks people think it's better than it really is.  Which means it's bad.  So since whenever that meaning started.  Which was probably a long time ago.

If it constricted you to a rail like Journey for Dreams, I doubt it.

It was a big deal back in 1996.

And yes, it is still on-rails, which is the worst way to make a game, but they managed to pull it off.

Yeah, it's not terrible.  I was just expecting free 3D flying through those wonderful colorful expanses of worlds.

Not really. You get 5 High scoring games for about $100 less. I wouldn't call that overrated.

Edit: In fact, The Orange Box isn't really a game at all, is it?
