Does anyone else here watch Bleach? I've been watching it a lot lately... Fwish. I would like to see a return of the Unofficial Bleach Topic, and I'll create one if no one else particularily wants to.
Who's your favorite character? I like Gin, Ulquiorra, Byakuya...
I've watched a few episodes. But I prefer the manga. :P

I read the manga.. I think I got up to about book 3 or 4... I haven't read lately though.
I stopped watching Bleach. The fillers killed it for me. I only read the manga now, and I'm up to date. The only anime I currently watch is One Piece.
I only saw up to episode 40 >.>
If I ever feel like downloading that many episodes, I'll start from the beginning.
I'm up to Volume 20 in the manga, and 142 in the anime. Yeah... the filler arc was a bit of torture (I watched it... >.>) but the Soul Society and Arrancar arcs were good enough for me to sit through that.
It's the only anime I currently watch. I've never been too big on anime, just a fan of a select few. [Maybe, like, under 20 throughout my entire life] Bleach is pretty darn awesome though, I must say. And Urahara owns. He's one of my favorite characters, like, ever.

Anyway, I also like Rukia, as well as Uryu and Chad. Sorry if I'm so late, but I'm only on episode 31. >> My friend got me into it a few months ago, and I've become addicted.
I think Rukia's is my favorite zanpaku-to... I'd really like to see a few more people's Bankai.
I only found it decent until the season after the Soul Society, or whatever.
Then it starts to bomb, in my opinion.
Are you referring to the Bount arc, or the Arrancar arc? The Bount arc was just filler, it was designed so that the Japanese manga could catch up to the anime. It's complete filler, and you won't really miss out on anything by skipping immediately to the next arc.
Personally, I have nothing but hate for the Bount arc as well. ;)
i hate the bount arc...if you're watching the anime and you just finished the Soul Society arc, you're in the worst part. it is total filler, has no contributions to the whole story, and just stalled for time. the Arrancar arc kicks ass, in my opinion. just skipping the Bount Arc is my best advice. you won't miss much. and what you dont' understand you can just ask someone who's seen it. cuz really...it's pointless.

So, is anyone at all excited for Shattered Blade or the DS game (forgot it's name)? I am... especially since they aren't removing anything.
I've seen some of it, don't really like it. It suffers from problems most shows like it do; interesting plot, but it's ruined by bad writing, dragging plots, filler, endless flashbacks, characters yelling at each other about philosophy when they should be killing each other, and your occasional dose of plot armor, even if it isn't sci-fi or mecha.
Eh, to each their own. I could argue a few of those points, but I'd rather not turn this into that.
I can agree on the filler, tho'... in the anime, at least... good God, I hear they're going into another filler arc. -.-
well, at least this filler arc isn't as long as the Bount Arc...but i still wonder how long it'l be before they have to give us another one...you know? they keep having to stall and give us a filler arc, how long will it be before the next one?
Yeah... I mean, the last one we had went for about ten, fifteen episodes and was in the 120's, 130's. We're barely ten episodes out of it.
and even if they don't give us a full blown filler ARC, they can still throw in filler episodes...
That's really the only thing I really, really dislike about Bleach. I don't have much of an alternative with the manga, since the American manga is behind where the Japanese anime is. If they keep throwing in filler it'll catch up.
American viewers are never going to see the Arrancar arc, I swear.
yeah...i think that if they have to keep throwing in filler they should jus STOP making it for a while. T.T as painful as that is, then we could just go straight through it instead of slowing down and stopping for all the fillers.
I only saw it once on Adult Swim on a Saturday night, and it was really good. My favorite character is Ichigo. He is cool. I saw an episode somewhere between 50-59.
And I would like to know when they show new episodes now, because last time I checked it's not on Saturdays anymore. Besides, I MUST know what happens to Ichigo!
Your best bet right now would be to watch it in Japanese with English subtitles. As of Episode 52, Bleach is on a temporary hiatus to make room to shown Death Note.
Or, you could read the manga.

What does "Hiatus" mean? And I've never heard of this Death Note.
It's on hold right now. Death Note is another anime (a good one, but...) that airs on AS.

i don't watch it a lot but i love the various characters! they make the show good. my favorite is hitsugaya if you couldn't guess :P
I loved the shinigami arc. The bounto arc was the worst out of the three, but it was decent. Zaraki Kenpachi is my favorite, since he's crazy.
I've seen the show a few times and that's more than enough times for me. Not my cup of tea.
Fair enough, but I don't think it's easy to really gauge a show like that from only seeing a few random episodes.
