I personally am exited about this movie considering it is based off of the best epic poem of all time this will difinatly be at the top of my list for must sees what about you?

I haven't seen the trailer yet, and unfortunately haven't read the poem yet either >_>. But i have read Grendel by John Gardner that was based of Beowulf.

It's a shame that most people here are too illiterate/philistine to have actually read the poem, or even know of it.

Beowulf was a very good book, i read it in 7th Grade, i love how the autor would show great detail, especialy with Grendel, i could actualy picture Grendel coming out of the which if im correct was a swamp filled with blood.
