Yep. This might not be offical, and if you want to delete it, go ahead, admins, but this is just somthing this forum is lacking, that really helps new RP makers get thier RP's past the idea stage.
What you do in this thread.
1. Post any of you RP's finished, or not. People will critique your RP, telling you what needs to be added, taken away, etc.
2. Post ideas for RP's, and see if people like them. An excellent way of getting a cool idea into a massive RP.
3. Help others with thier RP's. IF somebody has a big flaw in thier RP, post it, and tell them what is wrong. This doesn't mean flame. This is simply telling them what's wrong, in a non hostile way. If you think it might be a flame, don't post it.
4. Ask any questions about RPing here. Don't know HOW to RP? Post it here. Don't know the difference in a military and Town RP? Post it here. This thread is for anybody having any question on RPing.
If nobody awnsers you, don't be afraid to post it again. Don't double post, but if you think somebody else's RP may have caused yours to be overlooked, you can post it again, and possibly again. After three times, your best bet would be to wait a while before posting it again.

I think you're RP is going great, Fear. I joined yesterday and had great fun doing it!
It's doing great, so far. One of the only RP's I've considered (and still am) joining since Nsider died. It's well put together, and looks very active with members, it may very well be the new most popular RP in the section, and looks to be capable of holding that title for a good long while.
Now, for a question, mainly for the military RP'ers...

The year is 20XX..a world where the internet (Known casually as 'the 'Net') has been expanding rapidly. Now, a complete cyberspace has taken its place, and humanoid computer programs called navis are now owned by almost everyone.
It has been 3 years since the defeat of Nebula, and the world has experienced an age of peace.
But, peace never lasts...
Rules:
The basics [if you honest to god don't know what these are, then PM me]
Romance is allowed, but keep it PG-13. Anything higher should be in PM
Battling:
It's a like netbattle, except one thing..you have infinite chips. Now, this doesn't mean you spam invis chips like there's no tomorrow. No. Be reasonable, please. You can still only use:
1 Giga Chip per battle
5 Mega Chips per battle
5 Chips per turn
Now, when I say 'turn' I mean your post. You can only use 5 per post in a battle, and that doesn't mean you're going to hit, but if I see someone who never gets hit..bad things will happen to good [and not so good] people.
And by the way, no spamming recovery chips. If you want to spam Darkchips, go ahead, but remember that there will be bugs.
NaviCust: [No one has this at the beginning. I will bring it in later]
Now for the Navi Customizer. Yes, it's in this one, but, the catch is you can only install 5 programs. Yep, that's right, 5.
Now, if you have BugStop [which no one will have unless I think they deserve it] Then your navi will be able to hold 10 programs. Now, I don't care what the programs are, but there are some limitations. Saito.Bat and BustPack are not allowed.
If you don't follow these rules [that means installing 6 programs or using BustPack or Saito.Bat] Then you will create a bug. WHo knows, maybe disobeying this rule will cause a good bug...
If you disobey, here's where the bugs will occur:
BustPack: All Buster levels are automatically 1, and the 2nd program will be bugged.
Saito.Bat: All programs are bugged
6 programs: 5th and 6th program are bugged.
Go ahead and mess around with those. PM me if you want more info.
Soul Unisons and Chaos Union: [If you don't know about Soul Unsion or Chaos Union, please PM me. I'll explain it]
Since I based this offa MMBN 5, these two will be in here. If your navis form a strong enough bond, and both operators have a DubSoul chip, then they may use a Soul Unison.
Chaos Union is where you use a Dark Chip to fuse your Dark Soul with yourself. You may also do it with a Soul Unison. That's it. But, beware... if you fail to use the chip correctly, or get stopped while using it..the union will end, and your dark soul will come out and attack you relentlessly for a few seconds.

Story-
...It had been a while since Team eclipse had seen the light of day. After the entire Team broke up for an undetermined amount of time, KoT, the former Team leader, attempted to make the Team yet again, seeing the ever increasing amount of violence in the world.
After discovering a new region, Sinnoh, the team will be relocated, as this newly discovered region is much larger then the previous Jhoto region, thus, probably much more populated with potential evils.
Main RP Story-
Clash of Teams-
As you know, there are MANY different pokemon teams, in the world of pokemon. We are but one of many. Most of these teams are evil, while others exist to STOP the evil teams. Well, needless to say, this causes conflicts between both good and bad teams. Team eclipse is rather unknown in the newly created Team Wars, as they were thought to be defeated. This war is mainly over pokemon, the legendary pokemon, to be exact. The teams are trying to gain these pokemon, allowing high ranking members to be that much more powerful. Sinnoh is a prime target, with it's large number of rare and legendary pokemon, including two, that should never be tampered with. Now, Team eclipse could of course, take part in these wars, attempting to gain control of the legendaries, but instead, they are attempting to STOP the legendary pokemon from being taken, and to keep the Teams from clashing. This will cause Team Eclipse to be dealing both with teams once considered allies, and teams never before seen, in order to help save the Sinnoh region from becoming a wasteland, brought on by constant quarreling with pokemon that can never be tamed...

Ranks-
This RP focuses heavily on ranks. The ranks in this RP decide what pokemon you can have, how many you can have, and whether or not you can command certain members of the RP.
Rank points system-
Our rank points system is an excellent way of rewarding people for making good post!
Okay, here's how it goes.
For completing a bi weekly team RP, everybody present for at least part of it gets 10 points.
For completing a solo mission, it depends on difficulty, and quality, just for completing a mission, you get points!
Easy-5 points
Medium- 10
Hard –20
Expert-25
The higher ranking members will rate your mission, grading it on length and quality.
A+- 25 points
A- 20 points
B- 15 points
C- 10 points
D- 5 points
E- -5 points, taken away from base.
F- Mission failure, no base points awarded, take 5 off of your total points, possible demotion.
There are other things, such as pokemon contest, which award more points. If you break certain records (such as making a long battle post) you get 5 points each time you break the previous record. There are others ways, of course, such as exciting battles, so make good post, and you'll rank up in no time ;)

..The Fire Emblem, a jewel that all seek. Whether it is the selfish mercenary, the noble knight, or the coward who fears death...they all sought it for the jewel was rumored to possess unlimited power and would grant the wielder any wish that they desired. It was unknown of where the jewel came from (some claimed that it was created by a powerful mage, while others say it was forged by the gods and goddesses themselves!) nor was it known where the jewel was hidden exactly. Many though it'd be hidden within a grand temple out of reach by many, while others believed that it was hidden deep within the bowels of one of the large cities dotting the world.
Oh how wrong they were...
Our tale begins in the small village of Burk, hidden deep within the mountains of Laetatio...a noble, generous country that for years has been on odds with its more blood-thirsty brother Malum. Though there was no bloodshed yet, many believed that it was not much longer till they clashed.
The town of Burk though, isolated from the rumors and whispers of upcoming war, was in a rather tranquil state...the people were peaceful, at one with nature. It was pleasant living there, most had never even been exposed to the violence.
Unfortunately, peace does not last...

----Countries of Tellus
Laetatio- The Land of Nobility, a country where peace is bountiful. It is mostly covered by forests, though some mountains lay in the southern end. The current Marquess is Xavier Bennet, a knight that most can not match. Burk is located here.
Malum- The Land of War, a country who's quench for blood is never ending. The lack of resources, the majority of land is covered in barren deserts, has forced them to take over smaller countries in order to make a living. It is to the south of Laetatio and the current Marquess is Tyrael Lecto, a mage noted for his strong grip over magic...he is considered a bit loony though.
Damec- The Land of Fire, a country covered in a volcanoes. It is noted for its large population of Dragon Laguz, the land is hardly ideal to living in and takes a whole lot of willpower to even stand the heat.
Noj- The land of Snow, a country wracked by countless blizzards. Despite the rugged climate, many bird Laguz have settled here, braving the horrid climate and making a decent living. The country is well-known for being the location of the largest mountain in the continent, Azura's Peak.
Zu- The Land of Plains, a country that is covered in open, rolling plains. Many Beast Laguz make a living here, tribes of them dotting the map. The country is rather bare, and has no major villages or cities of note.

First Class: [You MUST start out as one of these!!!]
Ranger: A well-balanced unit who specializes in swords of all kinds.
Fist Fighter: A unit who fights with his fists. Relatively week, but very fast.
Myrmidon: A unit dedicated to the study of the sword. Possesses superior speed and skilled technique.
Soldiers: A spear- and lance-wielding unit.
Fighter: A robust unit that is feared on the battlefield. Specializes in axes of all kinds.
Archer: A unit specializing in bows. Cannot engage in direct combat.
Knight: A heavily armored unit who specializes in lances. Has great defense, but poor movement.
Sword Knight: A mounted unit with exceptional movement. Specializes in swords.
Lance Knight: A mounted unit with exceptional movement. Specializes in lances.
Axe Knight: A mounted unit with exceptional movement. Specializes in axes.

Second Class: [If you want to level up, you'll have to wait a while. However, as time goes on, and if you're active, you'll be able to class up, and become a second class. Each second class will have it's first class by it {NOTE: if one 1st level class has two 2nd level classes, then you must choose at your character's point of classing up!}.]
Hero: (Ranger) A brave champion who possesses superior leadership skills. Can use both swords and axes.
Lord: (Ranger) A noble warrior. Specializes in use of swords, and can wield legendary swords.
Martial Artist: (Fist Fighter) A fist fighter who has classed up. Extremely fast, strong, and is rumored to be able to break steel.
Swordmaster: (Myrmidon) A myrmidon who has changed classes. Blazingly fast, and a master of killing strokes.
Halberdier: (Soldier) A soldier who has changed classes. Can handle even the most unwieldy lances and spears with ease.
Warrior: (Fighter) A fighter who has changed classes. Can use both axes and bows.
Sniper: (Archer) An archer who has changed classes and can wield bows with ease. Specializes in killing shots.
Magic Archer: (Archer) An archer who has learned magic. Uses magic-infused arrows.
General: (Knight) A knight who has changed classes and can use both axes and lances. Possesses superior defense and attack power.

I'd still like feedback on this roleplay, please. It's the "Azula's Reign" Avatar roleplay.

Yeah but in that one, it's more of a general group. Like, I can sometimes RP even if someone is offline but in your avater one, basicly EVERYBODY has to be there to move on.
Well.. That's true, but the whole Roleplay is centered around the group effort.
It may move slower than the Pokemon Roleplay, but atleast the Avatar one has an interesting plot behind it so far that will keep it moving.

If you have a demon, using it will grant you more power, speed, etc. Depending on the demon, you may or may not get much. However, for the ones that have 6 or more tails, using 4 will allow the demon to take you over.
Using all of them will be allowed, but only for a very short amount of time, and not until much later in the RP.

The Purest Chaos
(This story takes place after Super Paper Mario and involves a lot about it. If you haven't played the game but want to join then I suggest you go to mariowiki.com and gather some general info about SPM Mainly that of Dimentio, Count Bleck, Tippi, the Pure Hearts, and the Chaos Heart...Oh...And I guess I should say spoilers for those who are playing the game and haven't beaten it.)
"This world...This perfect world... So now I have destroyed the Universe and started all anew. I suppose that I have achieved my goal. But...there are still those two and their Pure Hearts. Bah! I shouldn't really worry about them for they are oblivious like that of an animal trapped in a dark box. Unaware of their surroundings...Unaware of my achievement. I laugh at them. HA!" Dimentio said sitting in his throne in his castle ruling over the world of Dementia. "Those foolish two think that they're safe from me using that excuse for power. I remember how it all happened..."
This is the horrible tragedy of what has happened. Dimentio has succeeded in his evil plan to destroy the universe and create a new world and has now made everything to his liking. It all started back at Castle Bleck...Mario, Luigi, Bowser, and Peach was about to beat Dimentio but he had plans otherwise. "You think you can beat me you foolish mortals? Well then prepare yourself." He teleported away and when he teleported back, he had brought back the Chaos Heart. It started to pull everything in there, except for Dimentio, into the Dark Void. "Prepare to meet your game's end. Ciao!" He said that and disappeared to the safety of Dimension D, a place of his creation. Count Blumiere and Tippi watched in horror as the four heroes were sucked up into the vortex.
"Oh no! We have to do something!" Tippi cried out.
"I'm afraid that there's nothing we can do." Blumiere said holding onto Tippi. "There's just one thing I have to say before our games end."
"What is it?" Tippi replied.
"I...I love you." He said.
"Why-...I love you too." She said.
Just then, the Pure Hearts were restored of their power from the two's love and took Count Blumiere and Tippi away to a land where they could be together. That place was The Purest Land. A place that the Ancients created that the Chaos Heart couldn't touch. The Pure Hearts sensed the love that was that of Blumiere and Tippi (who has now resumed her human form there, Timpani.) and took them to a place where they'd be safe. However, Dimentio tried to get rid of them, the Pure Hearts prevented him from killing them so he had to leave them but he had plans for them later. He knew the items they both possessed within them that would bring them to him...However, that's for later.
Dimentio took the Chaos Heart and formed it into a powerful orb, known as the Heart of All Chaos. He used his new source of power and created the world of Dementia. It was a mostly peaceful land. People would go about their usual day. Only Dimentio had full control and power. There were 4 major lands. Each of these four lands split off into two opposing kingdoms. The opposing kingdoms were Kingdom Hate represented by strength and Kingdom Love represented by healing, Kingdom Courage represented with fire and Kingdom Humble represented with lightning, Kingdom Light represented by light magic and Kingdom Dark represented by dark magic, and finally Kingdom Pure represented by purity and Kingdom Chaos represented by chaos.
This was the only place where any sort of fighting occurred. Between those opposing kingdom. And whenever there was fighting, Dimentio would watch the small wars that would happen for his own entertainment. The only place that was immune to all the fighting was Kingdom D. A place where people from all kingdoms lived and lived peacefully. However, it was not easy to get in to this paradise. Only by Dimentio's approval could you enter and all those who didn't abide to this and would sneak in were to be immediately trapped in Dimension D. to stay there and die.
Now, all hope has not been lost in bringing back the universe that Dimentio destroyed. There exists a magical orb in each kingdom. Each orb corresponding to that kingdom. The orbs were created by the spirits of Mario (Courage), Luigi (Humble), Peach (Love), Bowser (Hate), Timpani (Light), Blumiere (Dark), The Purest Heart [or Pure Hearts] (Pure), and Chaos [Remember, Dimentio already has this orb. The Heart of All Chaos] (Chaos Heart). When they are brought together, they bring forth a force ten fold (X10) more powerful than that of the Purest Heart's and the Chaos Heart's power combined! The power of this can undo the power of evil in the right hands but in the wrong hands, it becomes unstoppable. Are you up to save the universe?
Now here's where you come in. You are one of the few people from each kingdom to gain the power of that kingdom. (As in, you have the power of fire if you are from Kingdom Courage, Lightning if you are from Kingdom Humble, etc.)You are one of the lucky people who have gained access to Kingdom D. However, you feel that something isn't right about this world. You feel that this isn't right. There should be much more to all this. Now you are going to risk your safety along with 7 other chosen people to find out the truth about Dimentio's reign. With each Orb (other than the Purest Orb and the Heart of All Chaos) lies the history of those characters and their past and small parts of the old universe. The Purest orb and the Heart of All Chaos contain the information of how the Purest Heart and the Chaos heart were used and the truth about the world of Dementia. Well...Even though you say that. I think you should do a Legend of Zelda one. Preferably based off of Majora's Mask. :) But if you really don't want to do one based off of a game or TV, then why not a book? Lord of the Flies would be a good idea.

Besides your Role Plays, the Harvest Moon Role Play is the only active and well thought out one. But yes, I understand what you mean with the more of a general Role Play.

Does anyone think I could pull off a Fire Emblem RP?, I was thinking of having it so you could choose which army you join(Crimea, Daein, Begnion, Gallia, etc) which race you are(Beorc or Laguz) and which unit you'd be, all I have to really do is think of a story to go with.

I didn't really have any major story elements in line. I planned just to have people interact, creating their own stories. However, I guess at some point I could throw a wrench in there and have something big happen.

I have an idea that's not for an RP, but a thing where people vote for certain categories for RPs. Like "Best RP", "Worst RP", "Funniest RP", "Best RPer", etc. Would people participate?

I created this RP a little while ago and it's going great. but whenever people just go away for a couple of days, they usually quit when they come back, saying "it's too complex' or "I'm confused".

It has been several years since the valiant Pokemon rescuer and his partner saved the world from the comet. But now, a new threat is emerging. Darkrai, a master of evil, is plotting the doom of all the Pokemon world.
No one really knows what he wants, or how he will set about achieving it. Darkrai is working in the shadows, unbeknownst to the innocent Pokemon. You take the role of Pokemon rescuers. Save Pokemon, stop disaster, fulfill your role, but all the while, Darkrai's plot edges closer.

@Phillykid- Your RP looks great. I was wondering when someone would make an SSE-like RP. You should definitely remember to throw in extra stuff, too. Don't make it just about the Primids. Like, the things that make the Primids (shadow bugs) could be worked into the plot, also. Maybe after defeating the Primids, the shadow bugs create an even worse creature or something. Just a suggestion, it's fine the way it is. You could always do something like that in case the RP doesn't last as long as you'd hoped. Anyway, I'd join.

Okay, I got an idea for an RP just right now. It's somewhat similar to Gundam, but there are some different things. For one, this is a completely different galaxy, so there's no Earth in the picture. Second, instead of just going into the machine, you're placed in a seat with a helmet, and your brainwaves are relocated into the robot's control memory. I need ideas for planets and maybe even some background for the social order in the galaxy. Any suggestions or other ideas would be helpful. ;D

Alright, with the combination of boredom and DMDTS coming soon to a close, the next RP will need to come now. So I decided to give another try at an RP. The RP's based off of KH if anybody can't figure it out by the opening story.

Actually, it's because the story is almost over. We're in the final sections. They just killed all the Dead Men. All that's left is to purge Zaronn from Solon's body.
There should be a sequel... I don't think everyone wants to see it go.
Birdie and I have talked through PM's, and he has mentioned that by the time summer comes around, he might have a sequel ready. It won't be a direct sequel, as it will most likely take place on another part of Vulcum. That's all I'm going to reveal now, as I want to keep it most under wraps. :P
Also, I joined that KH RP. Hopefully it will be good. I have a feeling that it will either be a huge success, or a giant flop. I'm hoping it will be the first.

As for the whole DMDTS sequel thing... I have maps drawn out (poorly, as usual) of a few other sections of the Planet Vulcum. To be exact, two. I could show you guys the maps XD. One of them is based off of elements, the other of the 7 Deadly Sins. And like LS said, he gave me a good idea of starting up another in the Summer. And if you guys liked the DMDTS one that much, I may make a "sequel".
But what about the first DMDTS? Shouldn't we conclude that one first?
Maybe there should be new heroes, and they somehow come in contact with the first ones =o

[-] Created tentative titles, then narrowed it down to the final 5. My last title, Dead Men Don't Tell Secrets, was a spin off of the idiom Dead Men Tell No Tales.
To be fair, I'll just gradually post stuff here instead of giving some people PM's with the info on it. Right now, I'm trying to decide on the perfect title. My theme is Revenge.

Well, it'll be something like this--
[ROUGH DRAFT STORY LINE]
On the planet Vulcum, there was a sinister group set out on destroying the world. They were named the Dead Men. There were also special gems that had powers beyond one?s imagination. These gems were the key to the Dead Men?s plan. But, as in all tales, a group of heroes formed to stop them. These heroes traveled long and hard throughout the Continent of Scalander in hopes of retrieving the gems first. The Dead Men and the heroes confronted each other face to face, and a battle ensued. The Dead Men were conquered. The gems were brought into the capable hands of the heroes, who set out to destroy the powerful gems and make the balance of the worlds right.
Balance is Key.
On the planet Vulcum, there was a continent called Elementia. Each land was home to it?s own element. One would think these lands would be as blood thirsty for power as the Scalander people were, but that is incorrect. Elementia had four lands: Drop Islands, Rock Land, Under Isle, and Spark Island. The islands of Drop conquered Under Isle, who conquered Rock Land, who conquered Spark Island, who conquered Drop Islands. Each land was better then one, worse then another, and balanced with the third. The scale proved to be equally weighed, so the lands had no problems getting along.
But, as we have learned through the chords of time, a balanced scale only stays balanced for so long..
The people of the lands began moving to different areas and finding love with people of a different element. When they had their children, the kids would be of mixed elemental race. Knowing how to use two separate elements caused a riot between lands, and people feared how powerful this new generation could become. It was evident a stand needed to be taken when a child knowing of all four elements was created. The child was left on a boat on the Dead Seas to die... Or so they thought.
Balance is Key.
50 years later...Revenge is sought out in many tales of good versus evil. One man wanted revenge on Elementia, for the cruelty he was given for being born with the knowledge of how to use all four elements. Silently, he recruited others with evil minds to form his own legion. The world would pay for what they did to him.

Sure I would join that. It shouldn't be based too much on the movie, though. That would give spoilers to those who haven't seen it and it would be too predictable to those who have.
Ok so I've been working on this idea for an RP called 'In the Land of Monsters'.
The setup should be simple enough. Extra dimensional doorways have been forming throughout numerous worlds leaking monsters, demons, and the undead into worlds they don't belong. Mana (the natural energy that flows through the Land of Monsters) is also pouring out into these other worlds causing radical changes in their environments.
This situation would of course encourage Heroes to travel to the Land of Monsters to try and stop whatever is causing this. Other people may find the Land of Monsters a valuable tool in their own plans.

I've got two RP ideas, both fully written up and almost ready to post O.o. But, I definitely need some feedback before finetuning them and posting them. And I won't post them until at least one of my other RP's are done >.>;;.
The first one is called Creatures of Habit and is set in 5000 AD where humanity as we know it is gone, and in place are two tribes, the Creatures and the Humanes. After an apocolypse in 4000 AD, food has been scarce, schools have been burned down, and no where is safe. Eventually half of the population left, known as the Creatures, began eating other humans. While the Humanes, who considered themselves more noble and with better decorum, are living the best they can in fear of the Creatures, and trying to restore the Earth to what it once was. The problem is, they no longer can tell right from wrong.
The second is a tentative title, Castle Siege, and is all back in Medieval times with Castles, knights, kings, and wars. There are four Castles ruling one land known as Darsmith. North Castle, East Castle, West Castle, and South Castle. They are all rivals, and you get to choose what side you are on. You can be part of one of the four castles, or be part a loner. The point is to have your team destroy the other Castles and be the last one standing, or as a loner, become rich of the Castles gold through stealing and trickery.
Those are quick summaries of the two. Do either of them sound good, and any points I can improve on? Of course, I have a lot more written out for both of them, so if you need more detail, I can show you the finished copy.
I like both of those ideas, though I'd prefer you wait until DMDTS is over to post one of them.
As I stated, I'm waiting until one of my RP ends to post one, then when the other completes I'll post the next one as well. And thanks for the comment, but is there one you prefer over the other?

It's a very controversial movie, but I loved it. I also saw it on tour when it came to San Francisco. I love it that much. =D

It's basically about trying to get by in difficult times in New York. The objective is to live until the New Year, and to the end of the Millennium. There will also be the deal with Christmas, and you'll try to buy gifts for others, or maybe keep the money for yourself. You could also attend Life Support meetings.

Actually, I think it sounds good. We need more Town Based RPs. You could give a list of available jobs and the places you can go, and maybe add events for certain days.

I'm thinking of making a Death Note RP that takes place in 1950s America. The reason I've picked that time frame is because that's when Einstein was in America, and I want to do something with Death Note which involves Einstein in some way. If anyone is interested, I can do this in 2 ways: 1) Recreate the Death Note plot altogether, or 2) Forget about Death Note and make it an L: Change the World RP, but without the L we know.

Sounds good. I vote for recreating the Death Note plot altogether, but only allow one Kira and one L, for the beginning. Then Kira and L can appoint successors, if they want.
Sounds good, however, I plan on making Einstein the first L, and then move the RP along from there (with a fanmade timeline). I've got that part of the story plotted out. Should I control people like Watari, or should I assign roles for those type of people?

The Chase starts, and The Descendents begin to fight.

Hey, I was thinking about making a haunted house RP. It'd be pretty simple. A bunch of teens (and maybe kids and young adults) enter a mansion that they don't think is really haunted and have to survive it and find a way out.
