Marowak is among my favorite Pokemon, but he's considered NU.

As such, I'd like to use him in an OU team as a surprise basher. Essentially, he'd be there for Physical damage.

Ability would be Rock Head. Don't need Lrod, and this allows for no recoil, which is obviously part of the plan here.

Nature wise, I'm considering Jolly. His speed is weak as is, but a boost would help...over the Speed boost of something like Hasty, and preferred over adamant due to the hold item...

Which would be his Thick Club. Attack is boosted with it, making him even more devastating.

As such, move set wise:

Aerial Ace (for grass threats...? or Fire Punch maybe...which offers steel coverage)
Earthquake (sheer destruction of it makes it useful)
Stone Edge vs. Thunder Punch (air resistance, but Tpunch has water covered too)
Double Edge (the heavy hitter here)

My question is....what moves, and what kind of support Pokemon?

Because I couldn't check Smogon myself.

Your choice leaves a huge steel weakness in terms of Bronzong, and not so great against Heatran and only par against Skarm. A hardy water like Swampert would kill. Give details why.

Actually, you can use either Firepunch or Thunderpunch, depending on your team.

Something needs to compensate elsehwhere, yes?

That's what I'm trying to figure out. Which is why team suggestions would be great, if you have any.

Lead: Aerodactyl, Alakazam, Ninjask.
Phys Sweeper: Lucario, Dragonite, Salemence.
Wall or Tank: Skarmory, Snorlax, Blissey, Tyranitar
Spec. Sweeper: Alakazam, Azelf, Porygon-Z.
Bulky Water: Milotic, Swampert, Suicune
Sweeper 3: Optional: Lucario, Azelf, Infernape.

The common trend seems to be able to withstand some hurt.

So Aero, Marow, Skarm, Azelf(?), Swampy, and how about ddttar? The big concern here would be ice, so that would need addressed.

jnfs2014

If you change Azelf to Lucario, you can have a Sandstorm team with T-Tar.

Earthquake
Thunder Punch (For water weakness, also good for flying)
Aerial Ace (For grass weakness, also good for bug & fighting)
Double Edge

So yeah, you got a good moveset there already.

Dude .

@Jr: In the words of Layton,"Still a threat with Bronzong."

Macawmoses

Yeah, I'm really wary of zong for a few reasons. And a sandstorm team won't hurt it.

jnfs2014

So a Fire Punch Marowak and a Fire Blast Uxie should do it?

JrDude

@zong threat. Unless you have an awsome item planned to be held, hold that one orb that cancels out Fly and Levitate resistance, then just use Earthquake.

You could also have another pokemon use Gravity like Clefable or Dusknoir
