Hey all, saw Resurrection F a few days ago and wanted to know what people thought of it. I thought it was just ok, the beginning was good when we get to see Tien, Krillin and the rest actually do things, Jaco was a good character as well, hope we see more of him going forward. Also I feel Ayers did a really good job as Frieza in this particular instance.

The bad parts for me were that Frieza was never really a threat...like at all. Goku was in charge pretty much the entire time and Gold Frieza did little to top that. Also the dues ex machina at the end was a total ass pull during a desperate attempt to make Frieza seem relevant. Oh well, I liked Battle of Gods better.

I saw it last week and I also thought it was just okay. The whole gold Frieza thing was kind of a let down, like why show a huge anticipated Frieza comeback if both Goku and Vegeta are way stronger and had no big issues fighting. Also I thought the lazer thing was a little dumb. I still liked it though, but I liked battle of the gods way more.

I thought it was a little anticlimactic too, but at the same time it was a little unexpected, at least.  I mean it's consistent with the rest of the series.

Very clever of him, but hacker forgot the key difference.

i agree with viewtifulboy

i think i liked it better than battle of the gods, but mostly because it was more dragonball z-y
i thought battle of the gods was like 90% humor and was more in line with like how the original dragonball was
i liked the action in this, although i hated the 3d animation it
still a good time i hope they make more

Good job! I, Viewtifulboy, declare you the CHAMPION!

I'm the official winner of the Viewtiful Victory roleplay championship!

Zero

The movie was pretty great, especially when compared to other Dragonball flicks like Bio-Broly.

As a fan I am pleased. That said the way they've gone about this "DBZ IS BACK!!" thing is intercourse ed up to all hell. Two movies and a series trying to tell the story seems normal at first, but the timelines are all intersecting and the series is halfassed per the 5th episode, though the 4 episodes prior were nothing to write home about either when compared to the late 80's and 90's animation. We shall see as this goes on because clearly they want to keep the Dragonball money train going.

The use of the 3D effect was minimal and pleasant. They clearly knew when to use it and when not to use it.

The ray gun thing is bullpoop. Won't spoil it for you but yeah you'll know when it happens. It is blatant assintercourse ery.

Jaco was the best character. Vegeta got cockblocked at every turn.

Frieza's new form is poop but it is definitely more pleasant in motion I can give it that. I feel like a more Cooler looking appearance would have been better.

The new saiyan forms are actually not bad, but the movie does an absolutely terrible job of intercourse ing explaining context for it and its connection to the form in the previous movie Battle of the Gods.

And yeah that's pretty much my take on it.

Super

I thought it was generally enjoyable. You're right though about Frieza. At no point did he feel like a threat.

viewtifulboy

By consistent I meant it makes sense that Frieza would be outclassed by the time the movie takes place because of the magnitude Goku's power has escalated to.
