Clannad, the next project from Kyoto Animation (anime)

So Clannad debuted today in Japan...I looked into it and it seems a lot different than Lucky Star and Haruhi, which is the kind of thing that I think of when I think of Kyoto Animation, but this one is not a comedy, which is the kind of anime I look for.  However, it's produced by Kyoto Animation, and pretty much anything that comes out of them is awesome in some way, so...yeah...the huge amount of ties to Irish tradition and the fact it's not a comedy is kind of a turn-off for me though D:

I'll watch the first episode when it's subbed nonetheless, what about you?

Or are you just waiting for Haruhi Season 2 which will hopefully come in early 2008?
