Ok, so when I was at GameStop today, I was talking with some of the employees, and I was told about a New DS.
Apparently, once DS lite sales start getting low Nintendo will reveal the new DS.
Here are the features they told me about:
-Thin as 2 DS cards Stacked on top of eachother
-Wider bigger screens
-Built-In Web Browser
-Internal Memory(For use with web browser
-Removed Game Boy slot (Due to thinness)
And that's all I was told about. I think that it's true, cause the guy seemed like he knew what he was talking about, and claimed that they published it in GameInformer. I trust the employee's here,(I've heard the stories, these employee's aren't like that) what do you guys think?
fake
pics and/or magazine article or it didn't happen
I don't think it's even possible for it to be that thin and still have:
decent durability
screens
buttons
battery
Gamestop employees aren't trustworthy.
But I saw that article is Gameinformer, it was very vague.
Another new handheld already? DS has been out for only 3 years.
I think they'd at least wait untill 2009 to announce a new one to come out 2010.
Introducing, the DS Air!
The buttons would have to be on a touch screen
and the batteries will ave to be those VERY little circular batteries
and the stylus wouldn't be holdable due to the thinness of the DS
If the DS was any smaller, it'd suck ass.
DS Lite and DS original are equally good (I like the original for the size but the light because it's brighter and smaller and stuff). We don't need another DS.

And yet Nintendo gave us the Micro. :P

Seems pretty "okayish" to me, but I wouldn't buy it. I still have my Phat DS. :p

I'd break that.
Wait, are we talking about the DS, the MacBook Air, or Sony's idea fund?

I was talking about how I'd easily break a "DS Air" or a MacBook Air if I got one.
I'd get one, simply because my olDS is literally falling apart.

Just realize that this won't be for a good 3 years, k?

The DS Lite's price will drop by that time right? If so, Jono, I'd get a Lite and a DS Lite Web Browser. Probably less money, more durability, and a GBA slot.

my olDS can last for quite a while longer. there's no point in getting a Lite. it does exactly the same thing but looks nicer.
something that's actually a hardware upgrade is something worth getting if your old model is worn out.

Batteries?
Okay why would you need batteries :|
*looks at DS sales in the millions, beating all other systems*
Umm,, yeah right...
I think he might have been shooting around ideas, and the article was strictly about concepts...IMO
I find the thinness hard to believe, but the other stuff is credible.
Does everybody here shop at GameStop? I always just go to BestBuy.

GameStop's closer.:P
Gamestop employees are the least trusted of anything in the gaming community.
And GameInformer may not be a great reliable source either.
Nintendo is known for keeping many things top secret, and never letting the story get out. If GameInformer were to know of it, so would we.
LIES ALL LIES!!!
Ps wuts the story behind gamestop
It prolly is fake, because what happened to the infamous "Xbox 180"?
Sounds like a bad idea to me. *Has a problem with handhelds and dropping them* They have all lived.... Just... That thing is thinner but has bigger screens. This sounds like I will break it within a month.
It's a Gamestop employee.

Believe it or not, the DS doesn't magically get electricity. It contains a rechargeable battery :|
Features are fake. HOWEVER, there are "rumors" that Nintendo will release a new Nintendo DS Lite ???????. I think it's FAKE, but like the Game Boy, it's possible that the DS will spawn a series of offsprings.
