Ha yea, I know what you mean.  I know I've done that before, as many of you who played me have seen.  It's the most efficient way, IMO.  Nothing else seems to work. -_-

I like the Idea but I dont like crouching repeatedly as a solution. I use that as a taunt.

How about these:

1. Go to the edge of the stage and tap the shield button 2 or 3 times.

2. Do a specified taunt direction. (Like everybody uses thier up taunt to indicate BRB or everybody uses thier left taunt to indicate brb.)

3. Ground dodge a couple of times.

4. Jump (Short hop) and air dodge.

5. Use a smash attack nowhere near the opponit.


How do those sound?
