Expect the Unexpected
Welcome to Big Brother: NSFCD, an online game for the members of the site here hosted by yours truly. In Big Brother, you will learn to make and break alliances, backstab, and - most importantly - expect the unexpected.
Eight to twelve contestants will be competing against each other to win the game. Each week, there will be a Head of Household (HoH) competition. Whoever wins will be the HoH for that week. The HoH?s job is to nominate two contestants in the game up for eviction from the Big Brother house. At the end of the week, all contestants (except for the nominees) vote for who they think should be evicted. Whoever is evicted must then leave the game.
But there?s a catch. Before each week?s eviction, there will be a Power of Veto (PoV) competition. Whoever wins the PoV can choose either to save themselves from being evicted if they are on the chopping block, save another person from being evicted, or not use it at all. The choice is theirs.
Once there are only three contestants left, the evicted houseguests will vote for who they think should win based on how they played the game. The person with the most votes will be the winner.
From now on, the contestants will be known as ?houseguests?. Oh, yes, and there?s the matter of a prize, isn?t there? Well, let?s leave that under covers for now (and no, it?s not a new rank). Good luck, houseguests. And remember: expect the unexpected.
Important Information:- Not everyone participates in the Power of Veto competition. The nominees and HoH each choose one person to compete, usually making for a total of six competitors.
- The current HoH will not be allowed to participate in the next HoH Competition.
- The PoV may ONLY be used on one person, or no one at all.

Good morning, houseguests. It is time for the weekly Head of Household competition. The Head of Household gets to choose the nominees for eviction at the end of the week. This competition has to do with the questions I sent out to you before the game. You now have to PM me in the eyes of your fellow houseguests.
You will look at the questions again, and send in answers based on how you think the rest of the house voted. Next to each question, you put the answer you think had the most votes, and how many votes you think that answer got. The closest without going over wins that point. Most points wins HoH.

Head of Household Competition: Round Two
It's time to elect a new Head of Household. And in this competition, you get to decide! You each get to vote for who you think HoH should be. Trust will definitely play as a big part here. There's one slight catch, however - if your decision is not unanimous, the person with the least amount of votes (you have to have at least one vote) will be the new HoH. The choice is yours. After you decide who you think should be the new HoH, PM me with your answer.

Power of Veto Competition: Round Two
Here's how this week's competition will work. You each have to post a number between one and six. You cannot choose a number someone else has already chosen. Inside one of those numbers is the Power of Veto. The catch is this: you do not know which number the PoV is in until after the competition is over.
There's more. After you choose the numbers, you have until 4 PM Pacific today to PM me what number you think the Power of Veto is in. You can choose up to three numbers. The thing is, you cannot compete in the next PoV round(s) for each incorrect guess. For instance, if you guess two numbers, and they are both wrong, then you will have to sit out the next two PoV Competitions, even if you are a nominee/HoH. The first person to guess the correct number wins PoV.
One last thing: if no one guesses the correct number, the houseguest who chose that number will win the PoV. Good luck.

Head of Household/Power of Veto Competition: Round Three
This round, you must make use of the arcade here. Simple; the person with the most highscores by 11:59 PM Pacific on Wednesday will be the new HoH. Also, the Power of Veto Competition has been intigrated with this one. I've chosen three games that have the possibility of holding the PoV. The first person to get the standing high score on one of those games will win the PoV.

Power of Veto Competition: Round Four
This week's Power of Veto Competition is... a maze. It is composed of a five by three grid filled with dead ends, and, at the end of the maze, the Power of Veto. You progress through the maze by answering questions that I ask. They pertain to the evicted houseguests. I will say something that one of them said, and then you will have to guess who said it. Some quotes will be from the thread; others will be quotes I got from them. This helps decide how much you really know your fellow members.
Depending on who you choose, you will go in a certain direction. Some incorrect answers lead you into dead ends; others lead you off course. Try to be consistent and careful when answering.
If you run into three dead ends throughout the maze, you will be eliminated from the competition. The first person through the maze wins the Power of Veto. I will be PMing you each your questions for the beginning. Good luck!

Hmm? I dunno; this is only my third one. I hosted a PMD Big Brother once on Oldsider, but I never got to get past the first round because the forums closed down.

I've won two of NSF's challenges, Phantom123 and I took the battle of staff and member (you got to team up with staff), as well as The Mole. I more than anticipate I can at least make top 4, if not better.

By the way, while the game is going on, you can use this thread to chat and try to bring down your opponents. Though PMs might be a better strategy.

Well, I'll assume this will make me a target of many of you, but I sincerely hope it doesn't.
In any case, as the Head of Household, my duty now is to nominate some people for eviction. I have to have this in by Noon tomorrow, so I'm asking you guys for your opinions. Since it's only the first day, and I don't know many of you very well, I want you to state your case on who you want evicted or why you should stay.
I'll pick the nominees by tomorrow afternoon.
Ooh. Well, Considering I am many's main target, as well as their main ally, and the one they think will win the game....I am going to play this as such.
I am the main target, so, it does make sense to try and get rid of me, I am also the one most think will win, so, get rid of me early, and you have yourself an advantage.
But, being that people said they'd ally with me, and not stab me in the back, you need to be careful. For one, I am a fierce competitor, and will gladly make a pact to keep us both in the game as long as possible, and as anyone who played in the Mole knows, I am a man of my word.
At the same time, you also have to remember, I have been playing the game since I signed up, take me out now, and I am sure some allies will return the favor down the road.
It really is your choice, but if you want to make top 4, you need me.

In terms of creativity, I have to hand it to Mack and Matt. Mack's ninjas and Matt's Pumba came completely out of nowhere. Good job at taking the whole "Expect the Unexpected" thing to your advantage. However, there can only be one PoV winner...

The real show, I bet, is for money....but this is for fun. Hence, why the game needs played differently. My goal, like it was for the Mole, is to have fun.
With that, we go on to the users whose hides are on the line. I intend to play backwards, eliminate the weak, then the strong.
`Matt` is a mid level player in my eyes, however, he refuses to communicate with us, and in my eyes, is no fun. Too bad for you, you can stay right where you are at.

Don't make me out to be a bad guy. It's the first round, and I don't know any of you. I happen to like activity, and though posting isn't 100% necessary, it's nice to know people are being active, so even a post saying "I voted" is a good thing.
Ridley, you were basically chosen at random, but my reasoning still stands. However, I said I wasn't voting you, as my original nominees are who I wanted on the chopping block. Since you're not who I originally chose, I wouldn't vote you because my gut didn't originally tell me to.
At this point, there is no possible way to tell who is "Good" or who is "Bad" at this game. It's the first round. My eviction criteria will be activity.

It's time to elect a new Head of Household. And in this competition, you get to decide! You each get to vote for who you think HoH should be. Trust will definitely play as a big part here. Here's how this week's competition will work. You each have to post a number between one and six. You cannot choose a number someone else has already chosen. Inside one of those numbers is the Power of Veto. The catch is this: you do not know which number the PoV is in until after the competition is over. (The number is predetermined)
There's more. After you choose the numbers, you have until 5 PM Pacific tomorrow (Thursday, July 31) to PM me what number you think the Power of Veto is in. You can choose up to three numbers. The thing is, you cannot compete in the next PoV round(s) for each incorrect guess. For instance, if you guess two numbers, and they are both wrong, then you will have to sit out the next two PoV Competitions, even if you are a nominee/HoH. The first person to guess the correct number wins PoV.
One last thing: if no one guesses the correct number, the houseguest who chose that number will win the PoV. Good luck.

Dang I used to have a score of 80,000 or more in pacman before the scores were reset.
Highscores at the time at the end of the challenge are what matter. Remember, hidden inside three of the arcade highscores is the Power of Veto.

This whole thing is suspicious, Ridley gets a head start, and the contest ends early in his favor.
When you say expect the unexpected, you shouldn't use it in such a way that it actually intercourse s people over without giving them a chance. When you had me people three people, people had a chance to survive it. Here, Mack for instance was waiting as it was a time based challenge. You cut it short without notice and now he's potentially on the chopping block. This probably applies to others too, and it goes very highly in Ridley's favor.

If Lightning hadn't posted, the game would have normally gone on another two hours, whether you thought it was over or not, and that wasn't my fault when I chose you guys for nomination.

Since we now have only seven people left, everyone will be participating in the PoV Competition from here on in.
This week's Power of Veto Competition is... a maze. It is composed of a five by three grid filled with dead ends, and, at the end of the maze, the Power of Veto. You progress through the maze by answering questions that I ask. They pertain to the evicted houseguests. I will say something that one of them said, and then you will have to guess who said it. Some quotes will be from the thread; others will be quotes I got from them. This helps decide how much you really know your fellow members.
Depending on who you choose, you will go in a certain direction. Some incorrect answers lead you into dead ends; others lead you off course. Try to be consistent and careful when answering.
If you run into three dead ends throughout the maze, you will be eliminated from the competition. The first person through the maze wins the Power of Veto. I will be PMing you each your questions for the beginning. Good luck!

Correct. However, you don't know exactly where the end of the maze is, how you started out, etc. You just have to rely on your understanding of the evicted houseguests. Also, you might start going the wrong way with one incorrect guess, even if all the other guesses are correct.
