Title: NSFCD MOVIE NIGHTS *FAILURE*
Post by: Light on August 07, 2009, 10:53:11 PM
Superbad tonight.

Well, everyone, our first movie night was a huge success. A lot of you joined us at http://www.livestream.com/nsfcd to watch the double feature showing of "Toy Story" and "Beavis and Butthead Do America". We hope you will come again for our future broadcasts.

About those, the poll I put up the other day now has sufficient votes to announce what will be shown for the first lineup of movies. And here it is:

Lineup 1:

Week 1 (Premiere): "Toy Story" / "Beavis and Butthead"
Week 2: "Ferris Bueller's Day Off"
Week 3: "Dodgeball"
Week 4: *Staff's Pick*
Week 5: "1984" USER'S PICK
Week 6: "The Emperor's New Groove"
Week 7 (The Night of W): "Wakko's Wish" / "The Wall" / "Wayne's World"

As you can see by the poll above, some people want to watch The Wall tomorrow, and others want it to be part of the Night of W. Where do you stand on the situation?
The Wall will be shown as part of the Night of W.

Movie Nights will probably be on Fridays like this one, though that may change, so keep your eyes out for what may or may not happen. Thank you for voting, and may this have been the first of many NSFCD Movie Nights!

I say same night. Sometimes you can't give the kids what they want. Makes 'em grow up right.

I think Movie Night was great.

Even though we had a few problems and lag along the way it was really fun and entertaining.

Next week; "Ferris Bueller's Day Off".

To Be or Not To Be will be shown tomorrow at 10 PM Eastern, 7 Pacific. This is tentative and may change at any given time. We at NSFCD are not responsible for any unexchanged, lost, or stolen tickets, and recipients will not be refunded if the show is rescheduled.

1) No one specified which version of the movie.
2) Everyone always says "read the book it's better".

Also Custom; if I said NO FUN, would I allow you whiny ninnyes to have complete control over your own movie this time? Didn't think so.

Time for less suggesting and more compromising. So far we have:

American Psycho
Happy Gilmore
Pokemon the Movie 2000
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
LotR/Star Wars Saga (Won't Happen)
Ed Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show
Pick of Destiny
Saving Private Ryan
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes

Note: This might be a double feature night, but seeing as how our last attempt at it came out, I wouldn't bank on it.

A day change might happen, but not until the second lineup, most likely. If you want, and if there are enough people, those who missed the initial showing can come the day after, and I'll gladly replay it. If I'm here, that is.

Also, the one with the most votes will be shown for sure; in other words, Ed Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show. One of the other three may or may not be chosen for a double feature.

EEEBPS is roughly an hour and thirty minutes long.

Also, times are as follows for people who are too lazy to convert timezones:

Pacific: 7 PM
Mountain: 8 PM
Central: 9 PM
Eastern: 10 PM

Meaning, EEEPBS starts in about five minutes. Let's get ready. http://www.livestream.com/nsfcd

The school year already started. It's going to be the same.
Not for the lucky people on the eastern coast. Today was the first day of my second week of school. The first three weeks I'm not going to have a full week, so I'm happy. Only one full week of school in September.

Also, don't care about The Emperor's New Groove, so if that's the only movie being shown I won't be attending. Although I think Pokemon 2000 will be playing that day also, correct?

Okay, Light, we gave him his chance. I think, you know, we're going to have to off Silver. He obviously can't do his job right. It's okay, I'll do it. Just, next time you guys have a staff meeting, lead him into #plottomurdersilver, and I'll finish him. Then we can get Sync to take over. If all goes well, no one will miss him and we can get on with Movie Night. Shhh, don't tell him. So, I take it that Movie Night is off, then? So yeah. Turnout tonight was disappointing, to say the least.

We hope to grab your attention with some exciting news, however. To make up for all our failed double features, the Night of W has an addition this next weekend, and will be a triple feature. The movies will be (not necessarily in this order):

Wakko's Wish
The Wall
Wayne's World

It will either be Friday or Saturday night. Maybe both. Who knows? Stay tuned until details are finalized.

Alright guys; we currently have a lot of nominees. So here's the deal; your nomination will only be added to the list if seconded by another member. I second:

Princess Bride
Willy Wonka
Yellow Submarine
I would agree with Princess Bride, but I have that movie and can watch it at anytime.

Happy Gilmore and Team America: World Police, please.

Only by two weeks. Anyways, a 3D Yellow Submarine has a lot of potential of being awesome regardless it is being done by Disney. The greatest psychedelic cartoon in 3D, woohoo.

The Wall was beautiful. It's confusing if you take it literally, so don't.

Also, the Wall has tits in it, and I don't know how much of NSF is mature enough to see tits.

In the meantime, if there are enough people there at 7 PM Pacific tonight (in 45 minutes), I'll show a surprise movie that we have uploaded. If we don't, then we'll postpone it to tomorrow.
