i have noticed from the newer Mario games that are out like the Mario sports games, that "koopa" doesn't seem to be a "bad guy" as much, like how birdo has seemed to switch from evil to good. bowser is losing a lot of allies. :)

edit: another example is the Mario party games.

...Friend codes were probably implemented by the same people who wanted tripping in Brawl...
...It's quite obvious...
