Apparnetly from the few times I used it in july, it added up to like, 52 dollars.

It's because phones weren't originally made to handle that kind of thing.
So it's unusual, and therefore expensive.

I have AT&T and using AIM on my phone doesn't cost any extra, but each message sent/received while using it counts as a text.

I have ATT and I access MSN by either using MSN's website and accessing moblie Messenger or use E-buddy. It helps that I have Unlimited Internet access & data transfer on my phone.
