Yup its true. Lucario, Jiggs, and Ness are playable.

I don't think Ness didn't take up that much of a roster spot.
Why are you worry about Ness taking up space anyway?

I just don't like Ness. Unless he has a COMPLETELY NEW moveset, there was absolutely no need for him since Lucas has the exact same moves anyway X_X;;

There is no new moves for Ness. It is better for Ness if he have his old moveset now.

Then we have a clone lf Lucas (or a clone of Ness, whichever way you prefer) so it wastes a character spot...
and no one wants clones. They just show laziness...and if that's the case WHY THE HELL did they delay it  if they were lazy in teh first place?

You guys must have never played Earthbound before. There is PLENTY of moves, including possible ITEMS that could be used!

There is a reason why all the earthbound stuff is usually Japan only... X_X;;

Ness and Lucas both know PK moves according to the Earthbound series. They may both know PK thunder and PSI Magnet but their PK fires are different and their smash attacks are different plus Lucas has that grappling thing that looks like a snake.  I forgot what it's called.  We haven't seen Lucas fight yet so how do you know he would be an exact clone of Ness?   Their grabs may be different too, along with their standard A moves and aerials.   Also if Sakurai was able to make 19 (couting Shiek) unique movesets in Melee in only 10 months he can for sure make more than that in the 2 years he's been spending on Brawl for.  You don't have to worry about roster space or time especially since all they have to do is use Ness' data from melee and enhance him with graphics to make him look fitting to be in Brawl.  Only the newcomers were the hard part for the character aspect.  It's not a bid deal if one veteran comes back and is similar to one of the newcomers.
