Title: The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks *Contains indirect spoilers*
Post by: SkyMyl on December 07, 2009, 03:35:05 PM
Well, Spirit Tracks is officially out, and I'm aware that there are some people who already own it, but I realized that I never made the usual poll on it. So, are you going to buy Spirit Tracks? You know, the sequel to Phantom Hourglass, which is often regarded as the worst Zelda game, which is a sequel to Wind Waker, which is a copy of Ocarina of Time.
Three sentences in and I feel like killing you for trolling. Or rather, failing to mock those who troll about the Zelda series.

I wanted to go to the midnight release at Nintendo World, where you were invited to cosplay as a Zelda character, purchase the game, among other Zelda-related merchandise at a discount. But being 15, without transportation, and without money, I couldn't make it.
And, you know, the fact you reserved the game specifically to buy it as early as possible has nothing to do with it.

So, I'm picking it up tomorrow. No matter what. Anyway, start discussing Soul Train and the dead princess plot.
I humbly apologize for the lack of quality in this thread. At least, when you compare it to some of his other threads. It seems like he lost his train of thought when he wrote this, probably because his inner fanboy got priority over his common sense.

Don't worry, I'll be sure to make him pay later on. =3

I bought it but I know it's going to suck.

NINTENDO DIDN'T LISTEN TO THEIR FANS AT ALL
THEY STILL HAVE THE STUFF WE HATED FROM PH IN ST

It seems copies won't be around here until the 9th for no apparent reason.

Not going to get it. Was never a fan of the handheld Zelda games.
Not to mention it looks like it still plays like Phantom Hourglass which is rather bad...

You didn't like OoS or OoA?

It's pretty much a PH clone + train drawing adventures.

It's a huge leap beyond PH. It's corrected virtually all of its issues thus far.

Technically, I think I own it already.
I just have to wait until Christmas to play it. ;__;

Not sure what to expect. Though they took out the Online Multiplayer which was in PH. I loved PH's multiplayer.

That is all I need to know to keep me the intercourse  away from this game.

Am I the only one who doesn't hate PH?
Yes, yes you are. That's because it's among the easiest tasks to satisfy you.
Anyone who says "That's what she said" to my face will lose theirs.

Actually, I liked PH very much. The manner in which the items were handled were very original, and the puzzles were so good as well. Plus, you have sailor comedy with Link, Linebeck, and the fairy.

The main thing I hated about PH was how you moved/attack, and that darned hourglass place (I forgot what it's called), bugged the poop out of me.

Yes, but that was when I was REALLY little and didn't like the Zelda series that much. Haven't played it since so I don't have an opinion on it.

The Spirit Tower is infinitely better than the Temple of the Ocean King.

I just got access to it. Yeah, Spirit Tracks is definitely better than PH.
For once, I have to agree.

Also, if you get pleasure from killing white wolfos, you're a ninny.
Ignore him, kill them all you want! PETA's not going to do anything about it!
Title: SkyMyl has an epic moment
Post by: SkyMyl on December 09, 2009, 02:24:04 PM
Okay, so, I get out of the Castle Town and notice there's a Beedle Balloon in the middle of two RAGE engine trains. Risking it, I go after the balloon to get a bomb bag. But, along the way, the balloon swerves down the path of a RAGE engine, so I successfully perform an EPIC MANEUVER and drive my train backwards, avoiding the trains and steering myself in the path of the balloon. Yes, I successfully caught the Beedle Balloon while driving BACKWARDS. After which, I proceeded to waste 600 rupees on a Bomb Bag and a Membership Card.
Yes, he's unnecessarily hamming his story up. Just let him have his moment, he needs it to feel important.
tl;dr: He drove backwards and stopped the balloon without getting hit.

playing before the sages is a huge pain in the ass, I don't know what I'm doing wrong I'm playing the notes he tells me but I can't pass it

So, the levels in this game are easy poop. The only thing kind of hard is that training room thing in the castle town. At least I get hit there.

Driving the trains takes way too long. But it's still pretty good. I guess.

Imo PH was fun. Just not as good as other Zelda games.

ST is better in every way. It's fun and later on even gets kinda hard puzzle wise (maybe slightly above LoZ: LA from what I remember of that game).

I have 2 copies of it now.

Beat it.

It's fun, I liked it.

But that's just because it's Zelda.

Tektites are little pricks this time around.

THEY RAPED THE ASS OUT OF MY TRAIN

Beat it. Good game. I got used to the train stuff. Only complaints of mine are the Spirit Pipes (though, I think I just suck at those duets...) and I guess the kinda boring final battle+ending.

Overall, I think it's a much better game than PH.

edit: also, I think some of you will find the appearance of the final boss to be amusingly ugly. Maybe.

Puzzles were easy. Manner items were handled? It really wasn't that great, bro.

Yeah, I thought he had spoken a few times too. I'm not sure if he really does or if I was just tired or something.

Forgive my double post, but I just beat it now. Now I'm just going to describe my reaction to endgame in one sentence.

Before endgame: Okay, this is getting progressively better and better as it goes along. Still not pleased with that one Guide Dang It moment, though.
During endgame: HOLY SHIT THIS IS ONE HUGE MOTHERFUCKING CROWNING MOMENT OF AWESOME
Again, swearing does nothing to help make you smarter or cooler. Nor does changing words into one of the more complex variety with the same meaning.

yeah i beat it.

much better than PH, NOT the worst zelda game ever

spirit flute is the best zelda instrument ever (as far as controls go; the music sucks)

i hope they go back to button controls, they're better than entirely touch controled.
