Title: Roms
Post by: Saraneth on January 02, 2008, 01:32:31 PM
So, can anyone tell me if roms are legal or illegal. Some places say no, others say yes, and I don't know which to listen to.

roms are basically copies of games that can be downloaded off the internet and played with online copies of systems called emulators.

They are illegal because if you get the games for free that means that Nintendo gets less money..

I use them though. I have a NES emulator with like 20-30 games, a SNES with 20-50 games, and a GBA with like 5-10 Pokemon games.

My friend gave them all to me :D

Careful - somebody on P/O board asked if it was ok to ask about roms & got blistered for it.

As long as you don't get caught you should be set.
