Title: Sonic
Post by: 7Deadly$ins on September 28, 2007, 11:41:20 PM
So... I'm a really big Sonic fan, owning all the GCN Sonic games except for the two Collection ones. Will someone tell me which games were featured in which collections, and if I would be better off buying them on VC?

Sonic mega collection: Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic and Knuckles, and a few more I forget about.

Sonic Gems collection: Sonic CD, sonic the fighters, Sonic R, and a crap load of Game Gear games.

Out of the two, I would go for mega collection rather than Gems....
Also, Its better to get it on the console instead of VC.
That way you don't have to blow alot of points.

Okay... cool. Thanks. Yeah, Mega Collection does sound better, but I might still get both.

What games would I NOT have, after buying both? Anything I can find on the VC?

I have mega collection and it's definitely worth it to buy that instead of using the VC.

Mega Collection: All 7 of the Genesis titles
Gems Collection: Sonic CD, Sonic Fighters, Sonic R, and 6 GameGear games

I have both, but I recommend Mega Collection more.

Mega Collection has Sonic 1, 2, 3, and Sonic and Knuckles. It also has the craptastic Sonic 3D Blast.

It also has Sonic Spinball, and Robotnicks Mean Bean Machine... Pretty good deal considering the disc has all this plus Ristar, Flicky, and bonus content. It also has modes so you can play Knuckles in Sonic 2 and 3, and it has the blue sphere thing.

it's more economical to get this disc than the VC counterparts.

Sonic Gems collection has the elusive Sonic CD, it also has Sonic R and Sonic the Fighters. Those are it's main points. It also has Vectorman and Vectorman 2 in there.

It has alot of Gamegear games also.

none of those are on the VC so you should probably get Gems.

You should buy sonic jems collection as it is the only chance you'll ever get to play the awsome sonic cd.

Okay -- if I just buy them both, what would I be missing out on, still?

Gems FTW. Mega... not so much.
