Article is up there. Do you think the DS is a good purchase? Do you agree with the article? Discuss.

Tupin

The games are the major selling point.

I can't wait until Guitar Hero: On Tour comes out.  ;D

In my opinion, the DS is the best system for video gaming to date.
It was executed, from my view, so well and the games are of course spectacular.

But really, the main reason I love mine is the combination of old and new.
GBA and DS both have fantastic games, but being able to use both is one of the DS's stronger points.
And as stated in your article, it does give the DS more versatility than the PSP.

Its light, its small, its reasonably durable for something with a touch screen...
And I really like the body style. Really I can see it riding the economic tidal wave its on for another couple years if only by game sales alone. $100 is a slim price tag for something that has probably taken more of my time than any of my consoles combined.

I think the DS is a very good buy. I need to get some new games for mine though...

Lotos

Reason #6- Pick up little kids with Pictochat like Faux noise says.

O SHI-  I see what you did thar.  Nice article Mack.  You gotta love how some of the games use the DS to its full (or almost full) potential, like WarioWare and Nintendogs.

Of course its a good buy. I actually like my Wii and 360 alot more than my onyx black ds lite 8) but I will always play it when im on the road or a cool new DS game comes out. I look forward to Sonic Chronicles and Guitar Hero: On Tour

I'll admit that I play DS more than Wii.  It just has better games, and more of them.

Wii is too sterile lately...

I agree, full heartedly. My DS has been getting more and more play time as it progresses in life.

DS is the best system out there by far. Better than any home console and sure as hell is a lot better than the PSP. I give Nintendo a lot of crap about stuff, but one thing I'll NEVER criticize them for: They know how to make a handheld. *hugs JUS, Metroid, and Mario Kart*

Indeed they do, all thanks to Gunpei.

Yeah...

The Virtual Boy wasn't THAT bad.

Also, Gunpey was a Wonderswan game he made before he died and it was ported over to the DS. You should check it out.

Most of the games were decent.

The only really bad game was Waterworld.

I think the DS is for sure a good purchase. There is enough variety that I think most would enjoy it. I love my DS
Candy-Stripe a cancer ward. It's not my problem.
