Since I was too young to own systems back in the day, I only played the ones that my brother let me play. And all I can remember him having was the Sega and the N64. So I'd have to say that the N64 is my favorite legacy system. I guess that means Sega comes in second for its amazing Sonic games.

But since I have a limited knowledge about anything before the N64, you guys will probably be able to come up with the "best" legacy system.
I get obsessively manic over things. It's a problem.

Not really.

And inevitable answer of the SNES. Though the Genesis was pretty intercourse win - Just not as many games or genre's that complied to the category.

I say this simply because you can play all PS1 games ON the PS2, and the PS2 had some AMAZING games in it's own right.

MGS2/3, all 4 Ratchet and Clanks, All three Jaks (Excluding Jak X), All three Sly Coopers, Twisted Metal Black, many many more.

At the end of the day, it comes down to preference. You like those games, and I like Shenmue, Sonic Adventure, Jet Grind Radio, and Marvel vs. Capcom 2.

TK knows how bad it is to get into these kinds of arguments with me :D

What? Oh, no, I was talking about the PS2 being better than the PS1, not the Dreamcast.

The Dreamcast was amazing.

Oh, phhh. So I was getting riled up for no reason.

I can't say for myself if the PS2 is better than the PS1. Never actually had one, can't stand dualshocks. Can you use the old Dual Analog with the PS2? I hate how they shortened the grips from the DA to the DS.
