XBLA: Deal Of The Week (July 12-18, 2010)

XBLA (Xbox Live Arcade) has a new Deal Of The Week every week available only to Gold Members. This weeks deal is:

South Park: LET'S GO TOWER DEFENSE PLAY (Regular: 800 MSP, sale 400 MSP)
This TD game is (obviously) based off of South Park and stars the whole gang in a surprisingly entertaining TD clone. Chances are if you're a fan of South Park (or of TD), you'll enjoy the game. But as always, download the trial game before buying. Thats what those intercourse ers are there for.

Rock Band DLC: Lady GaGa single "Poker Face" (50% off)
A song that you either love or hate. Rock Band is a party game, and who doesn't have a party without Lady GaGa now? This is just another song to add to the long list of songs that you'll place at parties, but never anytime else. If you're looking for a song to better spend your points on try Parry Gripps "Girl At The Video Game Store". But if you're a die hard Lady GaGa fan this is your chance.

Magic: The Gathering (50% off)
Magic is essentially the forefather of all card games nowadays. Play a single game of Magic and you'll notice a lot of similarities between it and practicality ever other card game you may have played. And now at 50% off, there really isn't a reason to say no to the game. Magic is one of those games that's better with friends, and when there exists free clients (Lackey to name one) that let you play with your friends for free, buying this game seems kind of silly. But the nice graphics make up for it. Kind of. If you're looking for a Magic fix, this game is not it. Go and download Lackey and find some people online. The game is fun, but not being able to edit your deck (amongst other rather arbitrary limits placed on you) adds up to an experience that seems quite lacking.
