I remember there was something in wild world where you saw tom nook in his pajamas, i tried and it didn't work. You had to go at like 2am or something to his store.

No, that was only in the original Nintendo 64 version, which only came out in Japan. There was also a similar event with Resetti and his house, but once again, only in the N64 version.
There was a N64 animal crossing?? I didn't know that.
