I bought some cheap hosting ($12 for a year, lulz) to try to host a FastDL server. Basically, it makes the maps download much faster than downloading them straight from the server.

i'd be in favor of just removing most maps you have to download from the server if it will save costs (and also if it doesn't)

It works. It's a bit faster than downloading from the server.
ctf_wtf_v3 took about 20 seconds, gas_kaboom_beta3 took maybe 2 minutes...cyberpunk and larger maps still take quite a while.

Did you mean now it takes 20 seconds or before? I dl'd the map a long time ago.

What if I add a lot of useless poop like secret rooms, maybe some cows, and a lot of other stuff in random space on the map? Then how long would it take?  :P
