Title: 10,000 Points = $100
Post by: WiiGuy on April 16, 2009, 07:49:14 AM
Well, last night I bought another Wii Points card...then When i got home, I downloaded Tetris Party (andbody have it?), then i'll be getting ether Pac-Man or Galaga....

Then I thought....that was my fifth Wii points card I've bought, 5 x 20 = $100
I've spent $100 on Digital Downloads :O
Was/is it all worth it?
Well so far i've bought: SMB, SMB LL, SMB 3, SMW, SM64, MK64, Dr. Mario, World of Goo, Cue Sports and Tetris Party...I'd say the're all good titles.

So, is this where gaming is going?
All to DLC, and games bought over the internet?

Whats you opinion?

I'm way past that...but I get games for free often, so yeah.

Anyways, fairly good use of the points. Although, a big Mario focus :P

And while I do believe we are moving to DLC (as folks like you and I could support it :P), it will never fully take over. Quality titles just can't constantly be churned out with those limitations - meaning the disc will still have a place, I'm sure.

SMB, SMB LL, SMB 3, SMW
If you have an SNES, you should have just bought Super Mario All-Stars. :P
In the future, I can see lots of bigger and better quality that you can just download.
But what Mack said, discs will probably be a part of gaming for a long time.

Seeing you include SMW in that list, I'm guessing Super Mario All-Stars+World?
I don't think I've even seen a cart for that before. I've just seen the original All-Stars with grapically updated SMB1, SMB2US, SMB2LL, and SMB3
I want VC to have the All-Stars updates in some form. Besides buying each of those games individually again, of course. D:

I don't have a SNES, the first Nintendo console I played was a N64, but that wasn't ours/mine :P

I want to play Super Mario Kart on the SNES...

I don't download much DLC, but I have downloaded Tetris Party, SBG4CP or whatever, Super Metroid, SMW, Bomberman, Pokemon Snap, Sin & Punishment...and I think that's it.

I've only bought SMB and (though I don't ever remember actually getting it) SMB2. The rest of my Wii Points have gone to Rock Band 2 DLC.
