Yeah? It really is fantastic. I find I enjoyed Kill Bill more though. That's probably just me and genre preference though.

i liked it but felt like if you stripped away all the "HEY I love that game!" references it wouldn't have been good
i liked the first half because of the references but as they slowed down and moved to sugar land i really didn't enjoy it anymore

I completely disagree. I feel that the story could have stood alone even without all the references.
i liked the movie as a whole but felt the team was a bit too ambitious. it was obvious they had plenty of ideas they had to cut and lets be honest everyone expected mario but disney and nintendo couldn't work out a deal that satisfied both parties
i hope the extended release is good
I was hoping for more references to games like King of Fighters or more modern-day arcade games, like Super Street Fighter 4 instead of that old, ugly Street Fighter 2.

King of Fighters was the game people played while everyone waited in the street fighter line in my town's arcades.
i love me some KoF but SF is practically pop-culture. get over it
how could any fighting game fan hate street fighter 2 i don't understand

A lot of younger/newer fighting game fans can't get into it because its "too basic". It lacks things like X-Factor, hitstun armor, armor break, combo burst/break, team gameplay, EX crap, flashy modern 3D graphics, etc that is in most popular fighters today. I enjoy modern fighters, but sometimes, basic is good.
X-Factor in particular is one of those "oh jeez, i wonder how high the developers were?" design choices in MvC3. I went from rank 0 to max rank in a single night using Akuma, Dormammu, and Zero. X-Factor helped make it that easy. Putting something like that in the hands of a really experienced player like me just kills it even more for a new player or an intermediate player. On top of that, when I played another experienced player, it just ended up being a game of X-Factor. Who played it at what time, etc. It really can be game changing and that's what the devs wanted but in the end, it just seems so hollow. This is coming from someone that abuses the intercourse out of it to this day.
tl;dr SFII is great because intercourse "complex" fighters
But King of Fighters is complicated, but not quite enough to scare most gamers off.
Also it has strong characterization and plots. Not like Street Fighter's stereotypes and retcons.

Retcons aren't an inherently bad thing. You're also kidding yourself if you think KoF doesn't have stereotyped characters. They have a trap, man. Sorry, try again.
King of Fighters is more simplistic than Street Fighter. It is not more complicated. Sorry, it just isn't. The games KoF is preceded by like Final Fight in particular are more simplistic. The four button system makes a hell of a difference, and that's probably the reason they chose not to copy SF's six button system.
SNK never managed to achieve SF's level of success and they never will.
I'd say they have. syntaxerror;

what did you think of battle royale and fear and loathing
I saw Thor last week. I liked it a lot more than I thought I would.
Final confrontation between Loki and Thor was a bit weak though. It was usually better in the comics. It was also pretty dark throughout the movie. Still, I really enjoyed it.
Anyway, counting Iron Man and Iron Man 2 that's three pre-Avenger movies down. Now I just need to see Captain America and The Incredible Hulk and I'll watch Avengers.
I am so late to the party. You'd think someone that actually read those comics growing up would be part of the hype train.

Alright, so; Django is great; The Hobbit was decent; Looper was surprisingly good; I've heard horrible things about A Good Day to Die Hard and so will never watch it (I haven't even seen Die Hard, so); Fear and Loathing is fantastic, but I kind of hate that now Johnny Depp pretty much goes out and plays HST as a Pirate, HST as a Hatter, HST as a Lizard, etc; haven't seen any others. Oh, Argo. Argo was well deserving of Best Picture. It got caught up in "Yarr! Foreigners are evil!" syndrome, but it was overall a very good film.

Yeah, don't see A Good Day to Die Hard. I was kinda forced to see it with my dad for his birthday.
I was actually disappointed with Looper, I didn't like it very much.
Also Z go see Argo. It's really pro-American/anti-Iranian but none the less it's an entertaining movie.

iron man and thor are the only decent ones the rest are just fan service.
I re-watched No Country for Old Men the other day. Anton Chigurh is still one of my all time favorite movie villains. If you haven't read the original book by Cormac McCarthy, I highly recommend it.
I saw Battle Royale several years ago.
My main problem with it was that it wasn't very loyal to the book and the story was pretty poopty in comparison. If you've only watched the movie but haven't read the book you're missing out big time.
As a side note I found the manga to be pretty fantastic.

The original books are typically more compelling than the movies in general.
That's true for pretty much any book with a movie adaptation, but in the case of Battle Royale I really can't stress it any more. Read. The. Book!
Seriously, go ahead and only watch the movies for Harry Potter. Only watch the movies for Hunger Games. I won't judge you too much. For the love of God, though, read Battle Royale.

I guess you can say it was funny cause it was bad, but barely. Like, it was trying to be funny, but a lot of their jokes were awful.
The only good parts of the movie were John C. Reilly and a joke where they break the 4th wall and talk about making a punchline

there was one super hero dating scene and it was probably my least favorite sketch
They really pulled the "batman cries after sex" joke and you could tell the writers really thought that was a good one because nothing else after it was even "heh"
like it wasn't even fun making fun of how bad it was
i watched movie 43 the only part i laughed at was the part where they blew out the blind kids birthday candles
I finally got around to finishing off the American Pie series and hot darn those were great movies. Had only seen the 1st one prior so yeah, I really intercourse ing missed out. Shame.
Watched Ip Man recently. Kung fu flick that I highly recommend. Tells the story of Bruce Lee's master and all that jazz, check it out if you want to see an Asian man rapidly punch someone's face from a standing position into a laying down position in mere seconds over and over again. Fun poop.
