Recently I've started listening to the Traveling Wilburys.

This band was made up of:
-Tom Petty
-Bob Dylan
-Roy Orbision (Died a month after they made their first album)
-George Harrison (The Beatles)
-Jeff Lynne (Electric Light Orchestra)
Awesome folkish-rock band. Their sound is basically a mix of the styles of all the members of the group. They work together amazingly well (One exception, Roy Orbison sticks out a bit because he's the only 50's guy in a band of 60's and 70's guys).

Lots of good songs.

Great band. One of the best examples of a supergroup there is. I started listening to them because of Tom Petty, because at that point I had no idea that Bob Dylan was involved with them. If I had known that before, I would've started listening to them long before I even knew about Petty. Bob Dylan = sex. <3
It's a shame they only released two albums.
I, too, learned about them from Petty. I don't listen to too much Dylan, but I luvs Petty.
It does kinda suck that they made only two albums. But Roy was dead and they all had other things to do. A good group, too bad they can't really reunite. They did fine after Roy died, but without George they aren't the Wilburys anymore.
I got my mom the CDs for Christmas, great band
