im not sure how you can like shoegaze and not like music from that era

so you've been to /mu/ all of once. I found both foxy shazam (still one of my favorite bands, though last year's album was poop) and a big chunk of my power metal on /mu/, i mean it was a better community back in 07/08 but still.

Actually I used to frequent /mu/ back in high school, back when the board had a lot of metal listeners. It wasn't that bad then.

These days though, unless its hipster bullpoop it just won't get talked about. I haven't been on /mu/ in months.

there's almost always at least one metal thread on the front page. granted, your brand of death metal is not very popular, but sludge/stoner/doom is huge, black metal's still pretty big, as well as metalcore/deathcore and a bunch of progressive poop.
