I'm not going to argue musiccal tastes right now, because Joe Satriani is soooo much better than Coldplay, but just because you think it sounds better doesn't make it legal.

What's more, they were already accused of copying another song: "The Songs I Didn't Write" by Creaky Boards.  This song is absolutely horrible, but it's still copying.

It is blatant copying, and if someone can't see that, they're completely deaf.

However, Coldplay's song is still good, even though it's a complete ripoff.  It shouldn't have been given awards, even though it's great.

Already heard about this.
I'm a huge fan of Coldplay, and Joe Satriani is one of my favorite guitarists. But I do have to side with Joe here, it sounds WAYYY too similar.
As for the other song, it's already been disproved that it wasn't copied.


I agree, it's a decent song, I just think it's a little overrated.
