Kane & Lynch movie?

I saw this info about a Kane & Lynch movie, and the only thing I could think of is Why?

This game had a very lukewarm reception, MetaCritic has it about 65 across the platforms it appeared on.  And yet this game rated a movie with Bruce Willis and Jamie Foxx?  Those are two high box-office earners, not b-movie or tv stars looking to make the jump into film (although they both did do tv back in the day).

I can't say I'm excited about this in any way.  Add to this that the script looks pretty poopty.

People are always talking about waiting for the really good video game movie to get made.  I can't help but to think that this thing will bomb and we'll be that much farther away.

It might be one of those games, that come along so rarely, that would be an EPIC movie, but a HORRID video game.

So who knows...

Oh god no. We don't need more games getting the movie treatment until someone can do it right. And a game like that doesn't even have the potential, in my thinking.
