Title: Cant Believe it!
Post by: NightStrike on September 26, 2007, 09:59:47 AM
My first shiny in the Advance generation was Zigzagoon. A JOLLY ONE!!! Anyway, i didnt ev train it, and i rare candy'd it up.

Today i found my Leafgreen, and i looked in it. I found a Shiny Zigzagoon. I almost freaked out, when i did Summary on it, and found out that it was a clone of my original Zigzagoon! Yes i can finally ev train one! And Jolly is the best nature for Zigzagoon!

Rare candies dont give out EVs. you can EV train both of them as long as the rare candied one didnt battle wild pokemon.

i know that. it was leveled to 100, so i couldnt do anything. I used it a couple times in battle as well, before it reached 100, so i dont know how ever ev placed out.

There are ways to remove EVs, you know... I don't know if it'll work at 100, but...

The EV's will only be removed if there are more than 100 EV's in a stat, and even then when you remove the EV's it will lessen only to the 100 EV's. You cannot completely clear EV's from one stat, just like Protien will only raise that stat to 100 EV's.

I've been able to remove EVs from Pokémon with well under 100 in a stat.

I'm pretty positive you CAN completely clear EVs. I'm pretty sure the first berry reduces you to 100 if you have more than that.

From all the info I gathered, I am sure it only lowers the EV's to 100, I will go check. Be back tomorrow!
