Yup. The one from April 28, 2007, has Giratina in it. The last one is from September or something.

I only keep 2-4 Pokemon the same and save the other slots for exp leeching since I use E4 for training.
The ones I always keep, and are lv100:
Blaziken
Espeon
Ones I usually but not always have with me:
Noctowl (lv100 and mostly so I can use fly from hometown)
Glaceon/グレイシア (well, not yet lv100, but it's 94 now)

I'm pretty sure that trading still works... it just doesn't appear in the dex until you get the national pokedex. You can still use it.

Actually it would make sence. I personally think that you shouldn't be able to get something 'till you get to the spot where you earn it.
